In Your Clutches!

I'm not really a fan of clutches for the everyday, because I like to be able to carry everything I need, but they're great for special occasions or going out - when I don't need to lug a whole lot of stuff around!

This week's Life and Style takes a page out of Mary Kate's book and shows how her Miu Miu clutch (which I love, btw), can be good for day or night. So I had fun seeing what clutches I could come up with that would easily translate from day to night and back again!

I think the Miu Miu clutch is just too big to actually be a clutch. If you actually put enough stuff in to warrant carrying a bag that size, wouldn't you just have a total pain in your ass carrying it around? Even in the pic where she's using it for day MK just looks like she wants to put it down. Also I think it's totally wrong for her evening look. It completely outweighs and overshadows her beautiful dress and just makes the whole outfit look wrong.

i'm the same way, i can't imagine a small clutch to hold all my tuff in... i've got too much junk in my purse!

I love oversized clutches like the Miu Miu one above. My only issue with them is that they seem (to me) to be easier for bag snatchers...but maybe I'm just paranoid.

my purse has to be big for everyday use...I carry A TON of junk around! But clutches are adorable and perfect for going out to the bar or just out to dinner/a date!

Sorry. Bidness woman here don't do clutches. Well, and I'm no longer in the disco age...you DO remember disco...don't you? Sigh. /Old. Fifty and old! Grrr. Seriously. I've seen some beautiful clutch purses. Can't put half of my purse contents in them. Now if I was a millionaire and had 'people' to carry my stuff for me, yeah. But I work for one, and his wife has a normal size purse - so - wtf? /puzzled JoC

the miu miu clutch works cos it is huge for a clutch!!! but i dun like to lug a clutch around. they are supposed to be cute and dainty, not oversized.

i think clutches have to be good quality...they are one of the items that REALLY shows their cheapness when they are poor quality

I think Mary Kate has fabulous style! :) I love how edgy she is. So many celebrities just use the same stylists and so end up looking identical to each other. Whether you like what she wears or not, she does have individuality!

Clutches annoy me unless I'm at a wedding or in a formal atmosphere. I don't see the Olsens as any kind of icons with the exception of poster children for eating disorders.

Yes-clutches are good for when you don't need to carry much around but not on a daily basis I agree. There are some cute ones though...I agree with sweet_potato though ---MaryKate and Ashley Olsen always look a mess! Double ewww
