Yesterday, an excerpt from Serena Williams's interview with Rolling Stone was released, revealing her comments about the Steubenville, OH, rape case. The case made headlines after a YouTube video leaked in January of drunk Steubenville high school athletes joking about a girl who was raped by two football players. Serena told the Rolling Stone reporter, "Do you think it was fair, what they got? They did something stupid, but I don't know. I'm not blaming the girl, but if you're a 16 year old and you're drunk like that, your parents should teach you: Don't take drinks from other people."
Her comments spread quickly across the Internet, and in the wake of the backlash, Serena Williams posted an apology on her website. To see what Serena had to say, just continue reading.
