Miranda Kerr took a walk on the wild side Thursday night when she accompanied designer Roberto Cavalli to the opening of his Just Cavalli flagship store in New York's SoHo neighborhood. For the occasion, Kerr chose a gown that combines leopard print — one of Cavalli's favorite prints — with black fabric. She accented the dress with a black leather studded belt and a snakeskin clutch. Do you think this look works, or do these elements not play well together?
The beautiful, sexy group of women who recently stomped down the Victoria's Secret runway have a lot of collected traits worth envying, but one you might not have even known you needed to be jealous of —the wear custom Nicholas Kirkwood heels created for the show that the Angels got to wear. The designer crafted each pair to fit within the parameters of themed collections Parisian Nights, Snow Angels, Birds of Paradise, and British Invasion.
The custom shoes aren't destined for production, which means you won't be able to dress like your favorite Angel quite yet. Though getting the abs? Actually possible.
See the shoes up close here, plus pictures of the girls (and Taylor Swift!) wearing them.
This week on We Spy Style, we invited the high-profile styling duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi to our studio! Since they've won over clients like Jennifer Lopez, Rachel McAdams, and Shakira, we had to put their skills (and music video knowledge) to the test. Play along with us and try to guess the Lopez music video in Guess the GIF! Plus, do you think Harry Styles deserved the British Fashion Icon Award? Let us know if you're red flagging or green flagging below and be sure to tweet us @POPSUGARFashion. On Allison: H&M top, J Brand jeans, Banana Republic blazer
After you've gotten over the cuteness of our bow model, Phantom the Frenchie, sit back, watch, and learn how to make homemade bows! It's the perfect topper for all those great gifts you've purchased, and it's a good skill to have in your arsenal. Who needs store-bought bows when you can make ones that look this good?
Do you have shoes with scuffed heels in your closet? Yeah, we had a bunch too, which inspired us to find a quick fix for the holidays! Grab some glitter nail polish of your choice, and paint those scuffs away. It's the perfect solution for holiday parties and New Year's Eve attire!

You don't have to wear sequins to get noticed during the holidays. That's a lesson Ashley Madekwe practices and preaches. The actress and style setter behind the blog Ring My Bell showed off a pretty perfect, if not low-key, party look in a leather jacket, t-shirt, and Bebe Gold Collection embellished miniskirt ($298). Note: those are studs, not sequins.
That's because the fashion-savvy Madekwe knows that if you want to be a standout, you've gotta separate yourself from the pack: "Move away from the sequins, everyone is going to be wearing them. I'm more about embellishments like chunky jewels, studs and nails." Call it the downtown girl's holiday look if you want; the effect is a bit edgier and so much more unexpected than the sequined party top or glittered mini. Add lace-up booties à la Madekwe, and the result has "style pro" written all over it.
Recently, red carpet style has pingponged between sexy, flirty, and outrageous (Miley, anyone?). So, it was with a wave of excitement that we looked at the pictures coming in from the Dubai International Film Festival. Rooney Mara, a red carpet constant from last year, was gloriously back in a white, ruffled one-shoulder custom Lanvin dress. Naomie Harris, riding the wave of what might be her emerging season as a red carpet star, radiated in bright pink accented with a lace neckline and a train that fanned out to her side.
We know, we know . . . both are gorgeous. Still, one's gotta win. Which is your pick for today?
Though we are currently in denial about tonight's midseason finale of Scandal, we know Olivia and company won't disappoint on the suspense or style front. This season was chock-full of political and personal drama, but our favorite fixers tackled their woes in style. From statement coats and structured suits to ladylike sets and designer accessories, Liv and company are bringing their A-game to the small screen — and proving polished separates aren't just for the boardroom. Each week, we are tracking down exact items worn by the most fierce and fashionable fixers on The Hill.
After last week's emotional roller coaster — mommy dearest is less than perfect (understatement of the year), Quinn is in a position to execute Command (who is now the good guy?), and Cyrus showed actual emotion (team James all the way) — we're not sure how much more our hearts can take. Before settling in for another seat-gripping evening, get a sneak peek of all the regal looks from tonight's episode.
Karlie Kloss, dressed in another fabulous Coach-crafted outfit, made quite the fashion point last night: leather pants don't have to be edgy. Instead, the runway beauty paired a cropped pair with a thin gray sweater and Coach's pointed-toe Tabitha flats — the prim and proper look would be right at home in any office. Bag-wise, she sized down for evening, carrying the mini version of Coach's Borough bag (which has already earned a spot on our holiday wish list). Want to try the combo yourself? We were shocked when we spotted these shoes sitting courtside at a recent Lakers game. Traditionally the domain of preppy-leaning guys nationwide, gray New Balance sneakers were the last thing we'd expect to see on this starlet — instead, you're more likely to find her on lists of the most out-there red carpet shoes around (though we love a cute outfit styled with sneakers). So who's wearing them?
Our scientific data on temperatures feeling a tick warmer when you're in a great outfit might be a bit embellished (or fully fabricated), but it still feels like that's true! When Winter winds start howling and the snow starts falling, the quickest antidote we know is slipping into a layered outfit that makes you feel like the best version of your stylish self. Here, we've collected 10 street style outfits to inspire your next festive outing this season.
We'll admit: we're usually dressing for our girlfriends. So, how do you get the attention of every other woman in the room? For the friend's holiday party, it goes something like this: statement top, cool-girl denim, sexy heels, enviable accoutrements. With a pal's bash, your mom's not there to scold you for the rips in your jeans — on the contrary, your lady friends know that those jeans are right on trend and make the perfect counterpart to offset your sparkly top. This is the holiday occasion that lets you get festive without censoring your trendier side. By all means, pull out your feathered clutch, jewel-drop earrings, and sky-high heels. Get started with the inspiration below, and remember to have fun with this one!

Sometimes, it's nice to give the shine a break and go for sleek minimalism for the holidays. We headed to Stacey Todd Boutique and styled three black and white party-perfect outfits; take a look!

There's nothing like a video game expansion pack release party to bring out the stars — and we mean that seriously. On Wednesday night, Rosario Dawson, Christa B. Allen, Kristen Bell, and Jena Malone were just a few of the bold-faced names to attend a party for Kabam Mobile Games' new expansion pack for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
What we appreciate about these four women in particular is that even though their looks were wildly different, they were all equally interesting. Dawson went for basic black with splashes of color in her bag and down her leg, Allen brightened things up with a red printed dress, Bell went for the graphic embellishment of a Sachin + Babi look, and Malone — who has had a series of red carpet successes of late — went for a leather skirt and a sweet shirt.
Every week, we bring you the best shoppable fashion and lifestyle stories from the editors at InStyle.com, including Kristen Stewart's heel philosophy.
Kristen Stewart is known for her casual style, both on and off the red carpet. Even though the star favors sporty kicks over sky-high stilettos, every once in a while, she’ll throw us all for a loop and rock an amazing pair of heels. But you may not catch her wearing them for long.
"I feel more confident on my feet," she told InStyle.com exclusively at the launch party for Jillian Dempsey Jewelry in LA as to why she prefers sneakers. "Like in a photo, obviously, things look better wearing heels, but in terms of just kicking around and actually like experiencing an entire night, heels limit me." Which is why you’ll often catch her doing a quick change from stilettos to flats at some point during an evening out. "I feel I can experience about half of my night that I would be able to experience if I was just wearing shoes and I could run around," she said.
"Literally, these [heels] slow you down. You get about half of your night, and they’re just like painful. So I really dig Vans. I just like wearing Vans." So chances are if she’s wearing something fancy, we’d bet that she always has a pair of comfy kicks within arm’s reach.

12 Years a Slave was a huge hit at this year's Toronto Film Festival — and let's just say Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt's cameos aren't the only reasons. Newcomer Lupita Nyong'o is getting attention — and we sense some Oscar buzz — for her performance in the film.

Just follow her on her recent promotions around the world, where the actress has shown off an array of inspiring looks. She's worked everything from colorful to dark, formfitting to frothy — and she's not afraid to bring on the bold accessories. We're calling it now: Nyong'o is going to be the one to watch this award season. Step inside to witness nine of Lupita's gorgeous red carpet looks to see what we mean.

Kristen Wiig, Leslie Mann, and Christina Applegate proved that their sense of style is just as on point as their sense of humor. Last night, Kristen hit the red carpet for the German premiere of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty looking every bit the lady in a full-skirted strapless dress and pointed-toe heels. Meanwhile, as Anchorman 2 debuted in London, Leslie Mann showed her support for her husband, producer Judd Apatow, in a chic white Viktor & Rolf jumpsuit, tweedy overcoat, and a pair of sweet pumps. As for the sexier side of things, Christina Applegate took care of that in a curve-conscious lacy gown and Carla Amorim diamond hoop earrings.
It's obvious that these three funny ladies know how to work a red carpet, but it's up to you to pick a favorite — who gets your vote?
