First, I'd like to thank all of you ladies who signed up for the club. I am so overwhelmed with joy with the kind of love and support you've so far given to Sandy and the club. It is encouraging to know that so many ladies on Sugar are inspired by Sandra Werner. In fact, two of our recent members who are very new on Sugar informed me that they had no clue who Sandra Werner is but they "fell in love with her" right after they have seen her LB and they right away signed up for the club.

Since the inception of the SW Fan Club, I have received messages from several ladies requesting if they could ask Sandy some questions about her wardrobe. I have informed Sandy about this and she willingly agreed to answer whatever fashion related question you might have. So if you need some personal fashion tips or advice, please leave a question on the comments section below and Sandy will return to you as soon as she can. Only those who are members of the club are invited to leave comments and ask Sandy a question. Thank you!

Inauguration is quickly approaching, and if you are planning on braving the million+ crowds, it may help to read some of this information that's been published about the event locally. While I cannot share your excitement for the president being sworn in, I can share with you some advice and tips on how to stay safe, healthy, and most of all happy.

Despite restrictions, city still will be packed

Near-impossible car access to the District on Inauguration Day could limit crowd size and leave many stranded on the region’s roadways, but within the city packed conditions likely will remain.

Even if only 1 million people make their way through Metro congestion and security checkpoints, that’s about twice as many as can fit on the National Mall...

Allowing for 5 square feet per person, slightly larger than an opened newspaper, just over 500,000 people can fit between the West Lawn of the Capitol and the Washington Monument. Pack in 1 million onlookers and the nearness would be comparable to packing about 2,000 people onto a basketball court.

“I don’t know where you’ll put a million people,” said McPhail, who has analyzed dozens of D.C. crowds.

Security officials have been expecting between 1 million and 2 million people in town for the inaugural events even before yesterday’s announced road closures, according to a Wednesday morning briefing by top police and FBI officials.

Up to 300,000 could funnel through 13 security checkpoints along the Pennsylvania Avenue parade route, and countless more could be trapped in their cars on congested roadways when Barack Obama takes his oath of office.

... But for the people who trekked across the country to witness the inauguration and find themselves unable to board a train or cross a Virginia bridge into the District, frustrations could boil over.

Inauguration security measures a hassle for everyone

While only the city’s bigwigs will be attending ritzy private parties along the parade route, all attendants of the Jan. 20 celebration downtown will have limited access to transportation that threatens to interfere with plans.

Building closures are also spoiling high-profile, celebrity inauguration events ...

Checkpoints inside the security perimeter will also limit mobility once the parade has started.

“It’s going to be a much more sequestered parade from the standpoint that once someone gets somewhere, they’re there for the day,” said Patrick Murphy, senior vice president of M Capital Management, a firm that will host a private party at the Capital Grille at 601 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. “I get the sense that there’s going to be no ability to go from spot to spot."

If you are going, make sure you continually check the local newspapers about road closures, building closures and more importantly bridge closures. As of right now, it seems the only way to get in to DC will be via the metro, which will be operating at more than full capacity.

Analysis: Bush's personality shapes his legacy

I read this in my Sunday paper and I thought it was a very nice homage to an exiting President (instead of the last minute vitriol that we have been seeing, seriously, why is that neccessary? The guy is out, you honestly have to get one last sucker punch in? I've never been more stunned by how hateful people can be than during the last 8 years, but I digress...)

Some highlights:

- In sessions with policy experts, Bush tends to ask questions that get right to the nub of a sticky issue. His top aides speak regretfully about how the country never got to see that side of him, even after all this time. They describe a man who is deeply inquisitive, not blithely incurious as much of the world thinks.

- His tangled moments have undoubtedly helped shape an unflattering public perception; there are entire books of his "Bushisms." Invariably, though, people who talk to him privately — historians, journalists, dissidents — come away with a very different impression of a meticulous thinker.

- Bush can flash a temper and impatience. But if he takes criticism personally — and he gets lots of criticism — he tries not to show it. When former press secretary Scott McClellan wrote a scathing book about Bush's leadership, the president told his senior aides to let it go. "Find a way to forgive, because that's the way to lead your life," White House press secretary Dana Perino remembers Bush advising her.

- He shows consideration to people close to him in little ways. He sends birthday notes to staff members. He remembers little details about their families. When he visits an Army post to thank the troops, he's been known to wander into the kitchen, too, to praise whoever cooked him the french fries.

- Nowhere is that more true than at his beloved, secluded ranch in Crawford, Texas. He has spent more than a year of his presidency there. Bush chops cedar, clears brush and builds mountain bike trails there. The summer heat doesn't bother him so much as enthrall him. He even set up a little competition, true Bush: People who work for him get a coveted T-shirt and bragging rights if they run for three straight miles on days hitting 100 degrees.

Brad & Angie Glam it Up at the Critics Choice Awards

Brad & Angie look their usual stunning selves at the Critics Choice Awards on Thursday night.

Angie is a Grecian Goddess in a flowing Max Azria gown, while Brad looks dapper in Tom Ford.

While neither Angie or Brad won their respective awards, I'm sure it was just an honor being nominated. They we're both busy mingling with The Eastwoods, Mickey Rourke, and many more.

have you ever heard of/tried raw minerals? I don't know if it's at Sephora. I got it as a free trial and have to cancel by january 30th if I don't want the regular shipments(it is kind of pricey) but these this stuff is AWESOME! I LOVE the loose powder foundation and brush; the brush is awesome, and they send 2 shades for you to pick one or custom match your skin using some of each- and the bronzer/glow is really fine and glorious; they even send an eyeshadow brush.... I guess eye and lip products can be bought seperately.

Amanda Laine, Anabela Belikova, Anna Jagodzinska, Anya Kazakova, Diana Farkhullina, Elsa Sylvan, Hanne-Gaby Odiele, Iris Strubegger, Katie Fogarty and Kinga Rajzak have all been named the new face of Balenciaga. If that wasn't intriguing enough, Balenciaga is revealing the ads (each model has their own) one by one to keep us interested. The first we got to see? Interview with Newest Housewife, Lynn Curtin

Curtin, 52, is a toned and tanned stay-at-home mom with a jewelry business on the side. She is the mother of two teenage girls, Raquel, 18, and Alexa, 16. She has been married to Frank Curtin, a contractor, for 19 years. Viewers will see the family when they lived in Laguna Beach.

A former gymnast, the newest housewife is an avid surfer, runner, horseback rider and kick boxer. She takes a laid-back approach to parenting, but wonders if she's being too lax.

Orange County Register: How did you get on "The Real Housewives"? Did you audition?

Lynne Curtin: Yes, I auditioned in May or June. Initially, two of my girlfriends ran it by me. My girlfriend Gretchen (Rossi, a current cast member) and I are friends from the gym

OCR: How did you meet your husband?

LC: I met him in Laguna Beach. I was getting a yogurt, right by Main Beach. He was with a friend and did a double-take. He did a U-turn right in front of a cop. The cop let him go with a warning when he explained it was because of a girl. They walked into the yogurt parlor, and my friend was falling over herself when she saw these good-looking guys. I wouldn't give him my number. I was in jewelry at the time, and he was a builder. He said he would build a table for my jewelry. We've been together ever since.

OCR: What was it like to have cameras filming you all the time, 24/7?

LC: It wasn't as weird as I thought it was going to be. You just kind of forget the cameras are on. I just felt really natural. We were at the beach, shopping with the girls, at the spa, everywhere. We spent a lot of quality time together.

Sometimes you keep it a little too real. People tell me I'm a laid-back mom. My daughters tell me I'm not. It will be interesting to see, when I watch myself, how laid back I really am.

OCR: Did you meet the other ladies on the show? What was that like?

LC: Yes, I did meet them. I certainly like all of them. But there's all kinds of drama going on. We're women – of course there's drama. There's definitely a hazing thing that goes on. Some of them have never had to experience what it's like being the new girl. I had to go through it. But I think they're going to all warm up to me.
