Topshop's fall/winter 2010 collection look book is out, and the high street retailer has translated plenty of fall's best runway trends into affordable, fast fashion. There are patchwork faux fur jackets, luxe-looking camel capes, Burberry-inspired faux shearling jackets, textured knitwear adorned with feathers and fur, nude leggings with diamante sparkles, Courtney Love grunge-era deconstructed princess looks, jersey tops with chain mail detail, and preppy plaid blazers with elbow patches. "A kind of contemporary minimalism" is how Phoebe Philo described her spring 2010 collection for Celine, and Zara is one leather tee shirt away from taking a little too much inspiration from that editorially-priased runway show. Zara goes for the same chic utilitarianism and simple silhouettes in wide-leg pants, crisp menswear shirts, and leather shorts—all in Philo's muted palette of camel, beige, and white. A.P.C introduces disco-era sliver and gold metallic mini skirts and tee-shirt dresses into their mix of throwback basics for spring 2010, but it's the primary-colored workman jumpsuits, camouflage jackets, and rolled khakis that have us envisioning the free-spirited, researchers over in Dharmaville. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are having a mud-paint-and-twigs-as-accessories moment in their spring 2010 look book for The Row. Despite the distracting dirty limbs, we are loving that they did indeed introduce denim into the collection and, as reported, the jeans do look like vintage Levis. The knits are superb as are a pair of black leather trousers, a red leather skirt, a satin night shirt, and perfectly wrinkled blazers in white and nude.

Israeli designer Lia Kes nails major spring themes in her most recent collection. Her easy evening dresses are among our favorite uncomplicated, wear anywhere options from the line up—in silk and knit with subtle shoulder padding and an asymmetrical hem. Also of interest from Kes' fifth collection—ruched micro skirts, graphic racer-back tanks, and a silk wide-leg jumper—each in a subtle color palette of gunmetal, black, white, and blue.

The Riviera Club menswear look book reminds us just how much we love the laid back vintage style of Southern California surfers. In their debut collection, friends and designers Derek Buse, Greg Ullery, and Joe Sadler looked to a man named Bucker Spreckels—a real life Los Angeles party boy who spent his multimillion dollar inheritance surfing around the globe and chasing women before dying very young—as inspiration for the spring 2010 collection. Each season the boys of Riviera Club have vowed to search for a different real-life or mythical muse, hopefully without losing their specific brand of West Coast charm.

Jeffrey Monteiro recently released his Spring 2010 look book. We had a peek not too long ago at his colorful resort designs, and his latest effort includes all the season's top trends from leather to neutrals and over-sized blazers.

Knitwear designer, Madeleine Thompson's new look book features friend and muse, British model Poppy Delevigne. In her namesake line of cashmere separates—think striped A-line tank dresses, pastel-colored loungewear and cozy oversized cardigans—Thompson fills our need for luxurious, everyday comfort pieces. Fans of the collection, which launched in 2007, include Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and Lily Donaldson.
