New York Fashion Week has come to an end, but even the most seasoned editors and buyers in the business couldn't possibly make it to all the shows on the jam-packed schedule. (We blame traffic, not to mention snow!) To make up for the Fall 2013 looks that may not have gotten the attention they should have, we've combed through presentations and shows staged by some of the talented younger and lesser-known brands in New York. The most must-see looks, from Calla's mix of dark florals and bright pastels to the school-girl charm of Ostwald Helgason's offering, here in the gallery.
It goes without saying that every Carolina Herrera runway is filled with breathtaking gowns and the most elegant kind of dressing. For Fall 2013, the designer delivers that glamour with a '40s-inspired twist. We were treated to strong, luxurious suiting, bow-tied blouses, and trumpet-skirted shifts, until the collection culminated in the drama-inducing printed and fishtailed gowns. Just click to watch it all right here.
During New York Fashion Week, the hair and makeup sent down the runway is often just as important as the clothing. While it might not be the first thing people look at, the skilled creations makeup artists and hairstylists devise is definitely worth a second look. From twisted ponytails to metallic eyes, get inspired by Fall 2013's most memorable beauty moments.
If you missed even a moment of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week action, our Instagram feed is filled to the brim with our adventures from every show, presentation, and party. We've captured J.Crew's covet-worthy brights and statement jewelry, the dramatic chandelier setting at Jason Wu, the epic army takeover at Prabal Gurung, and the gold-laden finale at Christian Siriano. As the Hollywood set, fashion darlings, and models stepped out to show their support for their favorite designers all New York Fashion Week long, we've kept tabs on the most stylish attendees. From Olivia Palermo's city-girl glamour at Marchesa to Zoe Saldana's bright-pink appearance at Michael Kors, the front row has offered up A-list outfit inspiration for every kind of styling personality. Of course, Fashion Week would not be complete without its epic finale, and that's exactly what we got from last night's Marc Jacobs Fall '13 show. We spotted a midriff-baring Miley Cyrus, a striped Jessica Stam, a cape-clad Nina Garcia, and more. Catch up on all the front-row NYFW fare right here.

But despite the crazy weather, there was still no shortage of chicness on the street. In fact, it seemed the industry's die-hard denizens were determined to prove that regardless of the weather, major style just can't be stopped.

We caught up with Karlie Kloss at the Carolina Herrera Fall 2013, and she told us her piece of "essential" beauty advice, her "boring" beauty regimen, what products she adores, and if she'll end up keeping her adorable short 'do. All that backstage in today's Beauty Beat.
Marc Jacobs ended New York Fall 2013 Fashion Week in signature style — sending the models out into a glowing sepia-lit runway two minutes before his show was set to begin. As photographers scrambled to shoot without flashes, models appeared with only black and white tones visible to the naked eye. After one quick lap of the full collection, the lighting shifted and the models came back out for a second viewing — this time with the colors totally visible. While fur suits might not be on everyone's shopping list for Fall, the designer's camel double-breasted coat, metallic-shot shift dresses, chunky cable knits, and swirling second-skin gilded evening dresses are sure to be a major hit at retail. As for the designer, he continues delighting us with new ideas, intriguing visuals and a rich aesthetic that grows every season.
