Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham's Foray Into Fashion

Victoria Beckham once claimed that she never reads books.

Victoria Beckham once claimed that she never reads books. But now, the fashionista is looking to capitalize on her posh reputation by launching her own fashion blog. The web site, which you can read about here, is part of the Beckhams' plan for total fashion world domination. Already, Posh has been selling a line of handbags in Japan, and now, she and her footballer hubby are planning to launch a full-on fashion line, called DVB, which will also include jeans, sunglasses, and shoes.

Meanwhile, Posh plans to launch the blog on Oct. 30, which is the same day that her book, called That Extra Half Inch, hits shelves in the U.S. The site will offer "webisodes" detailing the creation of DVB's pieces, as well as insider updates on new items coming out. I really can't wait to see what this thing is like. To stay current on Posh's blogging escapades, you can register for her mailing list here.

Digital Cameras

HP's New Digital Diet

If you've ever wish your photos could be touched up like celebrities on magazine covers, you're now in luck.

If you've ever wish your photos could be touched up like celebrities on magazine covers, you're now in luck. Hewlett Packard has just come out with seven different versions of its Photosmart Digital Slimming Cameras, which include a feature that can make your photo subjects look up to 10 pounds thinner. When the slimming effect is applied, the pixels of the photo are compressed in the center and expanded on the edges, so everything stays in proportion.

You can buy the cameras here, and the various models range in price from $169 to $399.99. (Be sure and apply for your rebate to get the discount). Better yet, the slimming effect is just one of more than 25 cool artistic effects on these cameras. To learn how to put your photo subjects on a digital diet, read more

Toothpaste

Pink Toothpaste for Your Pearly Whites

One thing I love about all of the pink products for Breast Cancer Awareness Month is that it gives me an excuse to try new stuff, and I'm particularly excited about the GoSmile Morning Rush Toothpaste.

Mischa Barton

Bebe's Luxe Look at L.A. Fashion Week

The youthful fashion brand Bebe is going upscale.

The youthful fashion brand Bebe is going upscale. Not only does the brand have the chic Mischa Barton as the face of its ads, but it also just unveiled a new high-end accessories line called Neda designed to appeal to more sophisticated consumers. And on Wednesday, Bebe revealed a Spring 2007 collection at L.A. Fashion Week that proves the label is leaning toward a more high-end look.

The line, designed by David Cardona, relied heavily on black and white with big, full skirts, tiny waists, and dramatic, high collars. Compared to Bebe's usual output, this showcase was far more formal and refined, but with hipster touches like dressy visors, the looks still didn't stray from the label's usual trendy vibe. Project Runway

Project Runway Wrap-Up: The Season Finale

No one can accuse Jeffrey's victory on Bravo's third season of Project Runway for being undramatic.

No one can accuse Jeffrey's victory on Bravo's third season of Project Runway for being undramatic. After Laura's accusations that Jeffrey outsourced his sewing, his admission that he sent leather out for pleating (which, apparently, is allowed), and the news that the designer also went over budget with those garish blond wigs, the rocker that everyone loves to hate still came out on top—all the while wearing a pair of ridiculous knickers.

I have to say, I'm a little bit disappointed in the PR outcome. (To tell us who you think should have won, click here.) Though I had come to terms with the fact that Michael still has some growing up to do, and while I think Jeffrey is very talented, I just don't like him! Plus, I'd really started to think that Uli's highly wearable designs deserved to win. I think Kayne said it best when he said “I thought Uli rocked the sh*t out” of her Bryant Park collection.

Vexingly, it seemed Heidi did too: After commending Uli for creating a collection "that every woman will want to wear,” she announced that Jeffrey had still won, and Jeffrey seemed as shocked as I was. Let's take another look at the runway shows, shall we? To see the collections from New York Fashion Weekread more
