Design a Cure Celebrity T-Shirts

For Breast Cancer Awareness month, the charitable Design A Cure event paired celebrity designers with prominent clothing labels—or, in the case of stars like Beyonce, with their own labels—to create a line of t-shirts.

For Breast Cancer Awareness month, the charitable Design A Cure event paired celebrity designers with prominent clothing labels—or, in the case of stars like Beyonce, with their own labels—to create a line of t-shirts. The tees, each of which is signed by its star creator, are now being auctioned off on eBay, and 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute. The auctions end Oct. 11. Here are some of my favorite t-shirts from the collection.

Sheryl Crow and Rock & Republic Charity T-Shirt, current bid $355, available here.

Kerry Washington and Paige Premium Knits Charity T-Shirt, current bid $50, available here.

Kate Spade

Kate Spade's New Luggage Line

I am not usually a big fan of Kate Spade bags, but I simply adore her new Lisbon Luggage Collection.

I am not usually a big fan of Kate Spade bags, but I simply adore her new Lisbon Luggage Collection. Similar to the new Samsonite Black Label Vintage Collection, this line of chic bags has an elegant, old-world feel, like something a 1960s debutante might carry on her grand tour of Europe. The four-piece Lisbon line includes a triangular duffle, a "duchess" weekend case, a small wheeled carry-on, and a large wheeled suitcase. The canvas bags come in chocolate with kelly-green trim or black with red leather accents. You can buy some of the pieces online here, but the rest are available in Spade's boutiques.

Lip Gloss

Givenchy's Lacy Lip Gloss

Givenchy is gracing us with two new gorgeous and shimmery-sheer shades in its Pop Gloss Crystal Dentelle Collection.

Givenchy is gracing us with two new gorgeous and shimmery-sheer shades in its Pop Gloss Crystal Dentelle Collection. These dainty tubes, decorated with feminine and elegant Chantilly lace, might just be the epitome of high society make-up.

The first shade, #421 Golden Chantilly, is a glimmery nude-beige peach gloss, while the second, #422 Pearly Plumentis, is more of a pink-hued golden gloss. The intense, reflective glitter crystals in these glosses, along with the ever-so-slight plumping ingredients, make your lips look like they're bursting with energy. You can wear them alone or layer them over your favorite shade of beige, peach, pink, or purple lipstick. The Chantilly glosses, which cost $22 each, won't be available online until November 1, but for now, you can order them by phone at (877) 612-7257 or buy them at Saks Fifth Avenue locations in Houston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Beverly Hills.

Yves Saint Laurent

Paris Fashion Week: Yves Saint Laurent

The Paris Fashion Week show from Yves Saint Laurent was a true triumph.

The Paris Fashion Week show from Yves Saint Laurent was a true triumph. The elation was cut short, however, when the label's 70-year-old founder collapsed Friday on a Paris street, just one day after the stunning collection was unveiled. People magazine reports:

"Saint Laurent is fine, according to a spokesman for Foundation Yves St. Laurent, who tells People that the designer checked out of the hospital and is home recuperating from the fall. ... Since 2002, there have been widespread reports of Saint-Laurent's ill-health, peppered with anecdotes about alcohol and drug abuse, depression and even the closure of his once fabled couture house – though the YSL brand still continues today through the parent company of Gucci."

In fact, the YSL brand is now having a bright, shining moment, thanks to the Spring 2007 collection designed by Stefano Pilati. Shown on a runway covered in a lush lawn planted with purple flowers, the garden-inspired collection featured everything from country checkered patterns to elegant purple gowns with floral adornments. What struck me most was how the artful pieces straddled timeless classics and fresh-picked trends. To see the collection, read more

Velcro Rollers

Old-School Beauty, Part III: Hair Rollers

To get effortless-looking curls, our poor mothers used to have to schlep around bulky cases of heavy, metal hot rollers or sleep in uncomfortable cool rollers to "set" their hair.

Come Fab Finding With Me: A Luxe Bag That Will Hold a Laptop

In the life of FabSugar, two things are very important: my laptop computer (so I can keep you guys informed about all things fab) and my gym membership (so I can maintain my girlish figure).

In the life of FabSugar, two things are very important: my laptop computer (so I can keep you guys informed about all things fab) and my gym membership (so I can maintain my girlish figure). But one thing that's not fab is all of the bags I have to carry. At any given moment, I'm armed with my purse my laptop bag, and my gym bag, and as a result, I end up looking like a pack mule. Nothing stylish about that, and I'm sure this is a problem that many fabulous gals face.

Right now I'm on the hunt for a bag that's stylish, sturdy, and capable of holding my 13-inch iBook, my running shoes, and other assorted amenities. So far, I've found this Herve Chapelier Shopping Bag, available for $208 here. The dimensions of this nylon bag are perfect (11.4 x 18.9 x 9.8 inches), as are the leather handles. But I would prefer something a little bit more fashionable, possibly in leather. So let's all go Fab Finding for the perfect luxurious, roomy, and sturdy bag. Be sure to come back and tell us what you found, or just tag your Fab Finds with the phrase "Laptop." To learn what a Fab Find is and how to make one, click here. BCBG

The Look For Less: BCBG Max Azria Taffeta Shirtdress

I am crazy about almost every item of clothing that BCBG Max Azria comes out with.

I am crazy about almost every item of clothing that BCBG Max Azria comes out with. But if I really bought every BCBG item I loved, I'd be completely bankrupt. Just yesterday, in fact, I fell for this BCBG Max Azria Taffeta Shirtdress, available for $332 here. This piece puts a cute, tailored twist on the little black dress, with velvet trim, a tulle petticoat, and cute covered buttons.

If $332 seems a bit steep for you, however, I've found a super-cute and startlingly similar dress for $282 less. To see what it is, read more

Stila

Fall In Love With Stila

Already, I have a serious weakness for make-up palettes and cute compacts.

Already, I have a serious weakness for make-up palettes and cute compacts. Now Stila has gone and created the adorable Fall in Love Eye Shadow Trio, which comes packaged in a beautiful bronze compact decorated with cascading autumn leaves. When it comes to resisting this purchase, I never had a chance. (But with a name like Fall in Love, I guess that's the point.)

The limited-edition eye shadow palette comes in three color combinations, including Cedar Grove (shown), the wintery-green Forest Clove, and the metallic Silver Maple. Each combination contains three shades for your base, crease, and liner. You can buy them for $30 here for a limited time only.
