Trend Alert: Wrap Watches

It's time to wrap it up this holiday season... and I'm not talking about the packaging, I'm talking about what's inside of the box.

It's time to wrap it up this holiday season... and I'm not talking about the packaging, I'm talking about what's inside of the box. Wrist watches that wrap around more than once are what's new and cool for leather band watches this season. Here are just a few of the many on the market:

Hermes Kelly Watch is a new twist on the classically elegant Hermes "H" watch. Like, the Kelly bag, this is sure to be a trend to last. Made from double leather straps and stainless steel hardware, it has Quartz movement and comes with a warranty. If you are feeling generous, you can buy it here for $1,750.00.

Juicy Couture Timepieces Wrap Watch comes in two great, neutral colors; tan or black. The tan watch has silver hardware and the black watch has gold hardware. I love love love the key and padlock charm part of the watch, as well as the thickness of the double band. Buy them here for $450.

Fab Read: Valley of the Dolls

This is the ultimate beach read.

This is the ultimate beach read. I have already read Valley of the Dolls but that was a couple of years ago and it's totally re-read worthy. Pucci-clad Jacqueline Susann's pop-culture classic, if you haven't already delved into the tumultuous lives of Anne, Neely, and Jennifer, add this book to your wishlist pronto. I don't want to give anything away, but between the parties, emotional dependencies, steamy romance scenes, and show biz tribulations, VOTD is a fantastic beach read. It's so good I found myself gasping and laughing while beachside in Hawaii. And the book cover art is so fun and cotton candy pink you'll want to flaunt this fab beach read. The soft cover version is $10.40 and available here.

The Light Side of Daring Black Pearls

Mysterious, sultry, glamorous. This is the unique combination daring black pearls make.

Mysterious, sultry, glamorous. This is the unique combination daring black pearls make. Classic white pearls are a perennial favorite. Fun and bright yellow pearls are happiness to any outfit. Girly pink pearls are as yummy as the frosting on a cupcake. Black pearls are the lone stepchild in the pearl family but they are undoubtedly exotic and captivating. While the most special of these black beauties are from Australia, Tahitian pearls are also exquisite. Black pearls come in cost-conscious varieties too; dark freshwater pearls abound and man-made ones are an option too. With a range of offerings, anyone can afford the mystique of black pearls. Do you dare? Here are my top picks.

Exhibitionist by Michael Spirito Grey Pearl and Flame Earrings, $185, available here.

MIZUKI 16-inch Brown Polysilk Necklace With One Tahitian Pearl, $530, available here.

Jude Frances Jewelry 18-karat White Gold Tahitian Pearl Ring With Diamond Accents, $1,280, available here.

Fekkai Ageless Damage-Defense Capsules are the latest fabulous product brought to us by the famous hair guru Frekeric Fekkai. They are shine enhancing capsules that are so lightweight that they won't weigh your hair down.

They have also been created to help protect your hair from further sun and air damage through a proactive decoy molecule defense. Basically, these teensy little capsules contain a whole lot of heavy duty SPF and environmental pollutant protectors in them.

It is recommended that you use them daily to see the best results. Just break open one capsule when you are done blow-drying or styling your hair. Then, thoroughly rub it in starting from the ends up to the roots. Buy the 45 capsule jar here for $45.

Love It or Hate It

Oscar de la Renta Haircalf Flower Satchel: Love It or Hate It?

Mr. De la Renta creates so many wonderfully pretty things.

Mr. De la Renta creates so many wonderfully pretty things. When I stumbled upon this handbag I was really surprised this was his work. This bag is just so...confusing. Though it is made of exotic materials like python and hair-calf, the green flower appliques are cutesy and strangely medieval looking. Maybe it's the eclectic mix of elements that rubs me the wrong way but for $2,500 you would have to love this folksy-meets-fancy style, available here. What are your thoughts, Love It or Hate It?
