Oh to be Donatella Versace. Talk about the ultimate jet-setter, Donatella is one of fashion's most decadent divas. While Versace is historically known for electric colored, body-hugging, sex-oozing designs she shined this year with more wearable, tailored collections. But don't get me wrong - her Fall '06 and Spring '07 collections were still all about grandiose sexiness. When she took the design reigns after Versace founder and Donatella's brother, Gianni Versace, was murdered in 1997, the designer maintained the label's aesthetic of European-style glamour, and irreverent rock-star attitude.

Wearing red is a bold statement. Though this is my favorite color - has been for a long time - I don't wear it very often because it is such a powerful color. When I do wear red, it's an indication I'm feeling empowered and fiery. Now you may not be as sensitive as me when it comes to wearing this classic color, alas, it is the holidays and this is the color of choice for many. This week I am going to see The Nutcracker ballet with my family. I am silly excited for this - I haven't seen this performance in years! We are then going to a late dinner after the performance. So I need a nice, comfortable holiday outfit I can wear to work, then to the ballet, then to dinner; it's going to be a long day but I can't wait to see the pretty Snowflakes perform, they were always my favorite.

This week I am going to profile five designers up for the FabSugar Designer of the Year and then we're all going to vote on Friday. Remember friendship bracelets? I was a big friendship bracelet fan back in the day - then I moved on to hair scrunchies, then scented candles, then boys and then lip gloss. And here I am today!
