You've read the bios and seen the collections. Now it is time to see which hot designer Fab readers think deserves the title of FabSugar Designer of the Year.

Is my kooky family the only one in the US who celebrate Christmas dinner by opening crackers before the big, yummy meal? Crackers contain little gifts inside and when you quickly pull on both sides - snap! - the fun begins. The crackers I know usually contain a colored paper crown everyone wears throughout dinner (funny visual), a joke and a rinky dink toy.
While this is a fun tradition, I'm fantasizing about snapping open one of these Fortnum & Mason Royal David's Christmas Crackers, £150 for a box of six, which is, ahem, about $294 US dollars. Reason being these contain such luxe gifts as a red leather pocket photo album, a red leather mirror compact, and a black leather pouch with wine bottle opener set; each gift is presented in an organza double drawstring gift bag.

Bumble and Bumble Red Hair Powder, $40, is a revolutionary colored hair powder that makes your hair appear thicker, absorbs oil (for those non-washing your hair days) and helps mask your roots so you don't have to frequent the salon as often for touch ups. Lastly, if your hair is thinning, this works very well to cover areas where there is less hair.
It is recommended to be used with auburn, rosy or true red hair. This can also be used to create a reddish tone in blond or light brown hair. The powder leaves you with a semi-matte finish, so if you like, you can add a drop of a shine boosting hair serum after it's completely dry.
Be sure and spray your hair at a ten-to-twelve inch distance using even strokes at the roots. The bottle pictured is 4.4 oz, however there is a smaller $23 travel size bottle available too.
Behold, the fifth and final nominee for FabSugar Designer of the Year: 3.1 Phillip Lim. This young designer is relatively new to the fashion scene, although those familiar with the label Development, would recognize his fresh tailoring and sweet blouses. In 2004, the designer left Development to start a new line with a friend, and now business partner, spawning 3.1 Phillip Lim. Interestingly, the 3.1 indicates the age the friends/partners were when they embarked on this endeavor: 31 years old.
This year the Fashion Group International acknowledged Lim by honoring him first place in Women’s Designer ‘Rising Star’ category. Next he was in the running for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award; he was beat by fellow FabSugar Designer of the Year nominee Doo.Ri. I have also noticed an increasing number of Hollywood starlets in his designs so get ready to see more of Lim.
And the clothes? His New York runway debut was his Spring '07 collection. Working almost exclusively in white, with shots of navy, as well as a colorful floral, Lim proved he's not only a romantic who can craft a handmade rosette decorated T-shirt dress, but also an accomplished tailor. Lim has a knack for combining dressy and casual - take a cotton voile strapless bell dress paired with a men's leather pilot vest, for instance; or a girlish jumper with an attached bodice made of sequins. Referring to this collection, Booth Moore, of the Los Angeles Times said, “This fashion week a star was born: Phillip Lim!” See for yourself:

A while back when all of the celebs were sporting red lips I wrote a post featuring my top five best red lipsticks. Since it was such a hit, I decided to write a second part featuring the best burgundy lipsticks - burgundy being the sophisticated, older sister of red. Here are my top picks:
Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Burgundy, $21, is a creamy semi-matte lipstick with full coverage. This color is a deep, rich, wine color that would look great layered under a pink or purple toned shimmery gloss.
Clarins Le Rouge Lipstick in Passion 360, $21.50, is a long lasting lip color that is super lightweight with a satiny finish and feel. It's creamy formula is made with shea butter, wheat germ extract and vitamin E. The petal-shaped tip allows for easy application.

You all knew this Fab Finding was on it's way! I don't know about you but I'm pretty set for Christmas and I'm starting to visualize my party outfit for New Years. What are my plans? Not sure. The choices are either a night out in the city or a house party with old friends, oh, or a live rock show. As you can see I have a few options and therefore I need a versatile outfit.
