A sneaker-fashion staple throughout the 1980s and late '90s, the classic Tretorn Nylite tennis shoes were some of the coziest, most cushiony kicks of all time. Thanks to a soft terrycloth inner lining, you could wear them without socks, and it was always fun to see what new colors and patterns (like plaids and paisleys) would show up on the side-swoop insignia. If you've got oily or combination skin like I do, keeping your face from looking shiny can be an ongoing battle. But while I always carry a powder compact with me for emergency de-shining, I don't want to look or smell like an overly powdered old lady. Plus, if your skin has a tendency to flake like mine, powdering your nose will just draw more attention to the problem. Fortunately, a few years ago I discovered what I believe to be the world's most perfect pressed powder, which is made by French cosmetics brand T. LeClerc. This week's featured designer: Tory Burch. The lifestyle line was started in 2004 by New York-based designer Burch, who wanted her creations to be both cutting-edge and reasonably priced.

The clothes take their cue from vintage looks, blending 1970s geometric prints and romantic Bohemian lines. This fall in particular, Burch is experimenting with orange and other autumnal tones, as well as decorative details snatched from the British countryside. Baby fever has moved beyond Hollywood! As I browse all of Fabsugar readers' Fab Finds, I can't help but notice quite a lot of maternity fashions cropping up. Bobbi Brown, one of my favorite makeup brands, has just come out with three new shades of natural matte blush: Fresh Pink, Clementine, and Cranberry. The idea behind these new colors is that by applying a brighter blush to the apples of your cheeks, you get a "pop" result. The makeup special effect makes it look like you are glowing from the inside-out. When going for this look, don't forget to blend, or you'll wind up looking like Raggedy Ann. The number of denim varieties out there is astounding, and now a new premium brand, called ProportionofBlu is creating another genre: intellectual denim. Going beyond the perfect fit, the ProportionofBlu is aiming to create jeans that are in perfect harmony with nature. All of its designs are based on the Golden Ratio, a mathematical calculation established by Euclid that is thought to have a sort of inherent beauty. The ratio has long shown up in architecture (including the Parthenon and the Pyramids) and also occurs in nature, as in the spiral of a Nautilus shell.

In a clever nod to the golden ratio, each pair of jeans is adorned with 18-karat gold-plate hardware. ProportionofBlu's women jeans come in four styles and are priced between $220 and $260. The line is now rolling out in stores such as Barneys and Fred Segal.
