I can't leave the house in my highest platform heels without also wearing a pair of those dorky foam "toe beds," available for $4.79 here. But exposing your insoles when wearing peep toes or sandals is a major fashion faux pas. That's why I'm excited to try the insoles from Foot Petals, which are designed to stay hidden in open-toed or otherwise skimpy shoes.

The company makes five different heel-specific insoles and footpads, including Killer Kushionz (above), which cost $12.95 a pack. These thin, padded insoles widen at the toe, so you can wear them with sandals. Other products include Strappy Strips ($6.95 per pack), which are thin padded strips designed to keep your feet from getting torn up by stiff shoe straps. But I'm most excited to replace my drugstore toe beds with Foot Petals' $6.95 Tip Toes. These dainty, feminine petals are worn at the ball of the foot to keep your heel from sliding forward and provide cushioning. Is it just me, or does Scarlett Johansson always have the best dresses? She showed up at the L.A. premier of The Black Dahlia sporting a bizarre hairdo but wearing a stunning off-the-shoulder black cocktail dress with sequin embroidery and an embellished waistband. Tomorrow marks the official start of New York Fashion Week, which makes me wonder: What would you guys wear if you got to attend one of the week's runway shows? After all, no matter how cute those Target Paul & Joe clothes are, it's hard to get away with wearing budget finds when you're surrounded by haute couture. Eco-minded fashion label Stewart+Brown is the offspring of business partners (and life partners) Karen Stewart and Howard Brown. The Ventura, Calif.-based clothing company makes all of its goods from environmentally responsible materials, including organic cotton, sustainably farmed Mongolian cashmere, and recycled factory-surplus fabrics. It also donates one percent of its revenues to non-profit environmental organizations.

But the look of Stewart+Brown is anything but hippie-dippy. Rather, its designs are cozy with a high quotient of chic. (One of its hoodies was even featured in a recent issue of InStyle.) The always fun and funky Betsey Johnson is getting into the perfume business. Tomorrow, Sept. 8, at the 59th Street Bloomingdale's in NYC, she'll unveil her first-ever scent, called Betsey Johnson . At the 6-7 p.m. event, she'll be signing bottles and selecting two winners to come and see her Spring 2007 Fashion Show.

The dainty bottle and packaging—which features Betsey's signature leopard print and rose patterns—reflects the clothing line's sweet and sexy sides. The fruity, ultra-feminine scent includes hints of juicy pear, tangerine, grapefruit, black currant, freesia, lily of the valley, red apple, cedarwood, praline, amber, and sexy musks. If you don't live in NYC, don't worry: Betsey Johnson Fragrance will be available at all Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, Sephora, and Macy's stores nationwide starting Friday.
