Spring Peek: Intergalactic Planetary

The talk of fashion town is the extreme difference between the two over-arching trends for Spring 2007.

The talk of fashion town is the extreme difference between the two over-arching trends for Spring 2007. The first one being Romanza and the second one being Intergalactic Planetary. Femme bots dominated the runways in a major way, with nods to fashion legends Paco Rabanne and Andre Courreges. The use of metals, plastics and black shiny leather created these bad attitude looks.

Whether you are sugar or spice, salt or pepper, nice or naughty, get used to seeing these trends trickle into your Spring wardrobe. I personally love the theatrics of this Spring Peek, but I crave the gorgeousness of Romanza. What are your thoughts?

Designer Spotlight: Erin Snow

I hear a cold front is very soon going to hit the east coast so it may finally put people in the snow bunny mood.

I hear a cold front is very soon going to hit the east coast so it may finally put people in the snow bunny mood. Make sure you're a cute snow bunny - is there any other kind? - with Erin Snow: the creation of New York City based designer, Erin Isakov, a winter sport enthusiast with a love for both skiing and fashion. Frustrated with the clumsily masculine and excessively feminine ski and snowboard gear on the market, Erin took it upon herself to come up with a solution. She launched Erin Snow, a chic line that combines high fashion with winter functionality, in Fall 2004.

The Erin Snow collection offers both high performance gear and stylish sportswear in flattering styles and silhouettes that can go directly from the slopes to the streets. The collection is designed with the highest quality fabrics selected from Switzerland, Italy and Austria, the look is all-American luxury. The result is a versatile collection that shows you do not have to sacrifice quality or style to dress for the winter months.

If you have a weakness for super-rich snow gear here are some of her key pieces which can be bought online. But be warned: this Aspen-worthy garb is not cheap; prices start at $288. Otherwise her luxe ski wear can be found at Bloomingdales, Searle, and athletic retailers nationwide.

I Can See Clearly Now: Cool Clear(ish) Sunglasses

I have a pair of cool clear and silver sunglasses by Salvatore Ferragamo that I love wearing in the winter.

I have a pair of cool clear and silver sunglasses by Salvatore Ferragamo that I love wearing in the winter. You don't necessarily need sunglasses in the winter - during a blizzard or fog immersion for example. But, if you want a bit of UV coverage for those semi-bright days, clear(ish) sunglasses are a cool solution. These also fit with the acrylic accents trend for Spring. Check out my designer and non-designer picks:

Vintage Collection - Courtney's Classic Vintage Frames 2568, $15.

Ray Ban Sunglasses - Aviator RB3211, $99.

Prada Split Temple Sunglasses
, $245.

Facial toners can help to improve the overall appearance of your skin by tightening your pores, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and cleansing your skin by removing dead cells, dirt, makeup and oil.

Facial toners can help to improve the overall appearance of your skin by tightening your pores, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and cleansing your skin by removing dead cells, dirt, makeup and oil. Other benefits include: increased circulation, improved hydration, and most importantly, restoring the natural PH balance of your skin. Facial toners should be applied between the cleansing and moisturizing steps of your skincare regimen. Wipe the slate clean with these alcohol-free toners.

Estée Lauder Vérité Soothing Spray Toner, $23, is great for dry and sensitive skin and it won't leave your face feeling stiff or tight. It is a micro-fine mist that will help hydrate, soothe and refresh your skin.

Made from natural plant and green tea extracts and trace minerals, this toner can significantly help reduce redness. If you like, you can even keep this toner in the fridge for a cool mist morning, noon and night!

Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Alcohol-Free Toner, $20, is designed to soothe problem skin. It is made with whole flowers and pure botanical extracts to balance out your skin. Kenneth Cole 'Boxed In' Pump: Love It or Hate It?

I have come to love booties this season and I obviously love the color red but this Kenneth Cole New York 'Boxed In' Pump, $285, is not quite right to me.

I have come to love booties this season and I obviously love the color red but this Kenneth Cole New York 'Boxed In' Pump, $285, is not quite right to me. I love Kenneth Cole leather goods, and the company's socially responsible voice, but I just don't think I like these. Too much red. What about you - love or hate?
