Blue has the unfortunate reputation of being associated with the depressing (thanks for that, Picasso!), but I for one get giddy when I see blue. Particularly electric blue — there's just something about it that is, well, electrifying.

That's why I'm taken with this cute little vintage pleated electric blue skirt, $10. It's an extra-small, and has a flattering fitted waist and flared skirt. Nothing to be blue about here!

Illustrator Julie Verhoeven is no stranger to collaborations with big time design houses. In the past, she has worked with Luella Bartley, Giles Deacon and Kim Jones. Her latest project is with British brand, Mulberry. Julie created a capsule collection of black and white t-shirts, scarves, an oversized dress (pictured) and quilted fabric bags. The common theme is the traditional English rose icon she used. "It's about English eccentricities and traditions gone a little askew," she told Nylon Magazine. Prices range from $100 to $2,000.

Kate looked utterly sophisticated in black and white last night at the premiere of her Glamour Reel film in L.A. She does slightly disheveled chic so well, and I love the naughtiness that the black bra showing through her sheer white top lends. What a doll!

Every year, Gucci prepares a UNICEF holiday campaign, but this year, the company is increasing its efforts. First, it raised its contribution to UNICEF by 5 percent; consequently, 25 percent of the revenues from the sale of seasonal gifts will go to helping the organization.

Another addition is a special edition Gucci for UNICEF bag, which is the traditional Indy canvas bag with a special rosette design. The small version costs $1,990, while the big one is $2,350. For over 13 years, QVC and Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation's "FFANY Shoes on Sale" event has sold over a million pairs of shoes and has raised $24 million for breast cancer research. This year, singer Sheryl Crow is getting involved by appearing in both print and television public service announcements supporting the 14th Annual QVC Presents "FFANY Shoes on Sale" live on QVC Wednesday, October 17 from 7 pm to 10 pm (ET).

The broadcast will feature over 100,000 pairs of shoes at half the suggested retail price. For those who have footwear they'd like to donate, go here! Let's all support this program and help fight breast cancer, one shoe at a time.
