On Our Radar: The Cruz Sisters for Samantha Thavasa

Penelope and her sister Monica have been traipsing around Japan this week promoting their new bag line for Samantha Thavasa.

Penelope and her sister Monica have been traipsing around Japan this week promoting their new bag line for Samantha Thavasa. Samantha may not be a household name in the US, but she has quite a cult following in Japan and recently opened her first boutique in New York.

The Cruz ladies, who are becoming quite the designing duo, are not the first celebrities to colloborate with Thavasa: Nicky Hilton and Beyoncé have also created bags for the design house. The official unveiling of the collection occured last night and although there doesn't seem to be a cohesive feel to the collection, I do like their use of hardware. What do you think?

Paris Hilton

LA Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Petro Zillia

Paris Hilton is an avid Petro Zillia fan — in fact, upon her exit from jail, she wore the brand's olive blazer. Judging from this collection of flirty and fun dresses, it's clear the feeling is mutual for Petro Zillia designer Nony Tochterman; I can for sure see the star sporting these frocks.

Color and silky fabrics were omnipresent. As with any feminine collection, ruffles and tiers were abundant. Frocks were one-shouldered, v-neck, tube top and halter. High-waisted silk shorts were paired with sheer tie-neck blouses.

The key motif of this Spring collection was sheerness — it would take a confident woman, ie. Paris, to rock this with ease.

Halloween

A Fabby Halloween: Mrs. Mia Wallace

Her name is Mrs. Mia Wallace.

Her name is Mrs. Mia Wallace. She has a penchant for vanilla milkshakes, winning dance competitions, and a certain white powder. Since 1994, when Uma Thurman played the iconic character in Pulp Fiction, hundreds of Halloween costumes have channeled Mrs. Mia. The look is easy: all you need is a straight-banged black wig, a white button-down, black bra, and cropped black pants. Apply a little red lipstick, and Chanel Vamp nail polish is a must — Mia did launch the color into smash-hit popularity, after all.

Don't forget, Mrs. Mia aced the dance competition with John Travolta's character Vince at the 50s-themed restaurant Jack Rabbit Slim's, so you'll need some groovy moves. Check out the movie clip I added below for inspiration. And if you end up talking to someone at a Halloween party you don't really want to be stuck with, you can thank the drug-addled Mrs. Mia for your exit quote: "I have to go powder my nose."

Celebrity Style: Lauren Conrad

The day after Fab got to meet LC and Whitney at LA Fashion Week, Lauren stepped out again — this time for a little retail therapy with BFF Lo at Madison LA.

The day after Fab got to meet LC and Whitney at LA Fashion Week, Lauren stepped out again — this time for a little retail therapy with BFF Lo at Madison LA. If I didn't know better, I would think it was Spring in LA, the way the weather has been here! Lauren must agree, breaking out a tank and flip-flops. To give her cute casual outfit a bit more Fall appeal, I threw in a blazer and some ballet flats to match her D&G bag!

French Connection

Fabworthy: French Connection Colored Tights

Colorful tights are nothing new.

Colorful tights are nothing new. But you have to be pretty bold to wear them and Halloween doesn't count! Sure, Gossip Girl Blair Waldorf wears black and white tights all the time, but colored tights are a whole different ballgame.

Take these French Connection purple tights, $15. They are the perfect way to liven up a moody Fall ensemble. I recommend pairing them with a heather grey dress.

If you're not ready to go colorful....yet, try these Sparkle & Fade Crochet Tights, $14, a la Ashley Olsen.

Twenty years! A fellow Fab reader can't believe it's already been that long since she graduated high school.

Twenty years! A fellow Fab reader can't believe it's already been that long since she graduated high school.

Her reunion snuck up on her and now she doesn't know what to wear! It's scheduled for a Saturday night at a local restaurant, so it is not too formal, she says. She would rather be underdressed than over, as she doesn't want to look like she's trying too hard. However, she still wants to look effortlessly chic!

Help her out, and I'll start you off with this Franchi 'Yasmine Shine' Clutch, $218, because it is understatedly chic! Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them twenty years.

Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.
