SATC Movie Sneak Peek! Too Cool For School Carrie: Love It or Hate It?

The couple outfits I've seen from the Sex and the City movie, since the flower power outfit, have been average.

The couple outfits I've seen from the Sex and the City movie, since the flower power outfit, have been average. To my delight, this too cool for school look popped up. Firstly, Carrie always had a hot little bod, and I loved it when she showed it off. Well, she's still got it. Those gray thigh high stockings and patent lace-up booties only work on the gams of Ms. Carrie Bradshaw. The entire muted color story is a moody dream, and that long boyfriend cardi worn with gray knuckle gloves is menswear-inspired at its best. Oh and that Prada ombre clutch? Way cool.

Are you as mad about this too cool for school look as I am?

Look of the Day: It's a Cinch

Royal_Red proves that it's a cinch to take a plain white tee and make it fashionable.

Royal_Red proves that it's a cinch to take a plain white tee and make it fashionable. Her black suede belt is the perfect size; not too thick, so it doesn't overwhelm the look. Those short shorts are darling, as are the Tory Burch flats and the bikini top underneath her shirt.

No information was given on her ensemble but you can easily get the look with any white tee, itty-bitty shorts, a belt and Tory Burch flats.

Congrats to Royal_Red! Stop by and tell us where you got all your Fab pieces!

Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar! If you live overseas and have a Fab outfit to share, join the Overseas Fashionistas Group, to submit a Look in this group learn how to post a blog.

Fab Site: Fashion Targets Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Month so what better way to kick off the first of the month than with a site that combines fashion and philanthropy.

October is Breast Cancer Month so what better way to kick off the first of the month than with a site that combines fashion and philanthropy. Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, founded in 1994, is dedicated to finding stylish goods whose proceeds aid breast cancer. This organization has become fashion's most successful response to the sickness yet and includes countries like United States, United Kingdom, Australia and many more. So go ahead and shop for a cause...it's your fashion duty to do so!

And this isn't the only Breast Cancer Awareness website, not even close. Fit has the lowdown on several more so get clicking for the clause.

Fab's October Most Wanted

There is one thing that I think of when October rolls around: Halloween!

There is one thing that I think of when October rolls around: Halloween! It makes sense for the Fab favorite holiday to be the holiday where you are required to dress up and be someone else for a night right? Halloween is the time to get creative with garb and prove to the world you can be sexy, scary or funny — in excess. Me? I usually go for sexy, since I'm fairly buttoned up the other 364 days of the year. More Halloween inspiration is in the near Fab future, but in the meantime, here are some favorites to get me in cold weather fashion shape.

  • So I mentioned I'm fairly buttoned up most of the time, but I do love me some animal prints, and this Banana Republic Silk animal-print top, $48, is a beaut.
  • Call them go go boots, call me lover. These Bottega Veneta Patent Boots, $990, are hot and I dig the stacked heel. For days I'm not feeling so retro, a glimpse under some dark denim boot cuts is very Marianne Faithfull.
  • I'm sorry, but these Yves Saint Laurent Charlotte Pumps, $495, are fine. In person, they're finer. And all things considered — YSL, fine leather, unique architectural wooden heel — that price is not too exorbitant.
  • Nothing says cozy chic like a layering piece such as this Lux Fairisle Sweater Dress, $58.
  • I'm not an advocate of leggings, except in times of travel, so these Vince
    Side Zipper Pants
    , $195, are a cool alternative.

Trend Alert: Three-Quarter Sleeve Coats

I know what you're going to say: three-quarter sleeve coats were the toast of fashion town last Fall.

I know what you're going to say: three-quarter sleeve coats were the toast of fashion town last Fall. That is correct. But can you blame designers for not giving them another go? The retro vibe these lovelies deliver is irresistible for some (hear hear), but these new contenders are thoroughly modern. You have permission to let those long sleeves show or if you want to glam it up, don a pair of leather gloves, Audrey style.
