Fab Finding Follow Up: Ooh la la, Paris Fashion Week

Last week, I asked you to imagine I was about to board a plane to Paris for the fashion week to end all fashion weeks.

Last week, I asked you to imagine I was about to board a plane to Paris for the fashion week to end all fashion weeks. It's not actually happening, but a girl can dream, right?

I need a wardrobe to floor those Frenchie fashionistas — it's got to be class-act! Parisian women like their classic staples — the Chanel quilted bag, the well-cut pea coat...but they also like to jazz it up with unexpected pieces. Most importantly, they always look tres chic.

I started you off with this Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower Bag, $375, because it's perfect for the occasion, and it's just like the bag Carrie holds in the "Sex and the City" movie! To see all the Paris Fashion Week Fab Finds, go here.

Let's see what you all came up with!

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

Look #1, created by daddio49 is Paris-perfect! There are some great textures, prints, and shapes that the sophisticates at Paris fashion week would definitely appreciate.

Fab Flash: PETA Condemns Python Skin Use

Snakeskin has been very in-demand for Fall — designers like Jimmy Choo, Calvin Klein, Prada, Fendi, YSL, and Roberto Cavalli have all made use of it on their bags and shoes.

Snakeskin has been very in-demand for Fall — designers like Jimmy Choo, Calvin Klein, Prada, Fendi, YSL, and Roberto Cavalli have all made use of it on their bags and shoes.

Yesterday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, condemned the practice, saying, "A python has a hose shoved down its throat, is blown up with water then skinned alive. Then it's tossed onto a pile and is left, sometimes for days, before it dies. The trade is pushing many species towards extinction and the endangered species of tomorrow can be seen in the luxury shops of today." Gnarly.

Designers claim to use skins from "farmed" pythons, but experts say there is a thriving illegal trade, endangering the python population in Southeast Asia.

What do you think: should designers continue to use python?

Celebrity Style: America Ferrera

Each time I see America, she gets more and more gorgeous and glam.

Each time I see America, she gets more and more gorgeous and glam. I have to give it up to the actress for looking so down to earth at MTV's TRL because so many stars dress tacky on the show. Her Zooey Peace Sign t-shirt is fashionable and philanthropic, and I love how her wide legs cover her shoes — raver style! I threw in a couple of silver accessories for a shiny finish.

Another day, another celebrity line: this Spring, Jaime Pressly is expanding her two-year-old knitwear line, J'aime by Jaime Pressly, to be a full-on contemporary wear collection.

Renamed J'aime Collection, her wares will now include casual, career, and party styles. The main palette includes navy, chocolate, rust, paisley, Indian ethnic, and white in fabrics like voile, linen, silk, chiffon, and eyelet. At least 35 to 40 styles are in the works, with a range of silhouettes in mind, from baby doll dresses and sundresses to wide and slim pants. But the main goal? "To fit and flatter the body of every woman," Jaime told WWD. Let's hope it does!

Take the Quiz
Dior

Paris Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Christian Dior

Take Marlene Dietrich, put her in the boudoir, and she'll embody the mood and look of John Galliano's latest collection for Dior.

Take Marlene Dietrich, put her in the boudoir, and she'll embody the mood and look of John Galliano's latest collection for Dior.

Her mannish suits, top hots, and heavily made up eyes all appeared on the runway. But Galliano didn't stop at just emulating the Marlene Dietrich that was, he carried her into the present — and the future — with mafia-worthy pinstripes, Cavalli-esque animal prints, and bedroom-ready negligees.

The lingerie odes were tangible: transparency here, lacy edging there. And some looks walked the line between racy and brash. But an overarching riff on the 30s flapper girl who dabbles in her gangster boyfriend's clothing prevailed, looking very Galliano for Dior indeed.
