Since Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, the London designers behind Eley Kishimoto, were recently named the new creative directors for Cacharel, I thought I would give you a better introduction to their style.
Known in some circles as the patron saints of print, Eley Kishimoto has been credited with influencing the resurgence of patterns on the international design scene. They partnered in the 1992 directly after graduating from Central Saint Martins design school, starting in womenswear but eventually expanding into bags, jewelery, sunglasses, and even home accessories.
Bold graphic prints combined with bright colors have always been their forte, brokering collaborations with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, and Alexander McQueen. I've always been a fan of their lighthearted designs, and I'm really excited to see what they have in mind for Cacharel!
Eley Kishimoto is available at Creatures of Comfort and runs $19-$850.

Girls who don't like video games but need something to do while their guy is busy with the Wii can play Neiman Marcus' Mix & Match Game, powered by In Style. I consider it the girly equivalent of a computer game.
Mix and match must-have clothing and accessories for the season according to your unique taste. Then, if you really love the look, buy it. The look to the left is the one I created. I had so much fun doing it; now it's your turn!
I've always thought Drew is pretty in a tousled sort of way. But I could never imagine, until I laid eyes on these Gucci Fine Jewelry ads, that she could be such a refined beauty. I did a double take at first because I didn't believe it was her modeling such a glamorous collection of Gucci's famous horsebit designs. She must be very flattered because she is the first ever celebrity to be featured in a Gucci ad. These were shot by Dutch photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in a Paris studio. Oh la la!
Drew even got Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini's stamp of approval: “Drew brought wonderful energy and excitement to this project. She is such a strong and confident woman, but her humor and sensitivity made her completely disarming." Do you share her sentiment about these ads?
Crave Worthy: Versace Home Greek Key Lamp I never really thought to look at the Versace Home Collection. In fact, I've been somewhat avoiding it because I figured it might be tacky, New Jersey mafia style, and I've seen enough of that in my lifetime. Thanks to a suggestion from GIOVS, though, I made my way over to the site and was pleasantly surprised at how many good-looking pieces they sell.
After efforts in recent years to rebrand itself as a more ethical and socially responsible company, Gap is once again being criticized for practicing child labor. Despite launching rigorous social audit systems in 2004 to weed out such practices, the system is still being abused by its subcontractors.
After an article in yesterday's The Observer said children in India as young as 10 were beaten and made to hand-sew clothes, often for no wages, the company has made moves to bar thousands of clothes en route to stores. Gap said it was unaware that the clothes were made by underage workers and has stopped all work from the sweatshop in Delhi so that a full investigation can be conducted.
This newest revelation adds fuel for those campaigning to stop Gap from outsourcing its labor to the developing world, which is increasingly popular for Western fashion chains.
One nice thing about living in the city is the fast turnover rate: there are always new shops popping up. A Fab new clothing boutique is throwing an opening bash this week, and you're on the list. Their specialty is contemporary wear, so nothing too chichi, but you still want to break out the goods and wow 'em.
I'll start you off with these L'Agenda Moderne colorful leather card holder, $48, they're cute and perfect to slip into your bag — just in case you meet someone worth seeing again. Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them boutique opening.
Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.
