The American Music Awards brought some good, some bad and some ugly to the red carpet. There was definitely drama and glamour, but the winning looks were the ones kept simple. We’re all loving sequins and beading right now but ladies need to remember to exercise restraint with such excess. Nonetheless, here are the winning six looks. Who was the shining star of the American Music Awards?!
Alicia looks like a tough but chic chick in this heavily beaded number. The neckline looks nice, and the cinched waist is flattering, but the embellishment is a little over the top...especially when her shoes are just as busy. Do you love it or hate it?
Ashanti looks like she could be heading to prom, but I'm not entirely mad at her ensemble. The golden yellow hue is pretty against her dark skin and the chiffon material is feminine. The oversized earrings look a bit painful but she makes them work. What's your verdict?
I had to take a breather for a sec after seeing Rihanna's Armani Prive getup — I was in shock. In fact, all I can still even muster up to say is: Yikes! And is that a crushed velvet skirt? Thoughts?
Here is PYT Ashley Tisdale looking...disheveled. With such a busy dress she could have toned down the hair — less bed head vixen, more sleek and sophisticated lady. I do like the neutral metallics against her slightly sun kissed skin though. Maybe she's just feeling like a wild child tonight.
