Simply Fab: Little Birch Jewelry Stand

When you have as much jewelry as I do, sometimes it's good to branch out a bit.

When you have as much jewelry as I do, sometimes it's good to branch out a bit. Especially when it involves this Little Birch Jewelry Stand ($26).

It's pretty enough to stand alone, but with jewelry hanging off of it, it reminds me of a year-round holiday tree! And who can argue with something that both pretties up your bedroom and brings a little Christmas to July . . . February . . . and May? Not I.

Double Take! Vanitas vs. Karen Zambos

Vanitas is all over the place these days.

Vanitas is all over the place these days. That's why I did a double take when I saw this Karen Zambos Vintage Couture Sleeveless Phoebe Dress ($215, originally $429) in the same exact fabric. Wait a minute . . . isn't that the print of Vanitas' Kimono Red Silk Dress ($284)? Yes it is!

It's a very small fabric world out there. Chances are both brands visited Premiere Vision, a fabric trade show, and liked the same print. Can you blame them though? It's a beautiful retro-inspired pattern. This happens from time to time, but the reason we don't see it more often is because many brands design their own fabric. That's probably a wise decision considering you don't want clones of your clothing walking around. Just some fashion for thought.

Happy Cyber Monday!

Who braved the crowds on Black Friday?

Who braved the crowds on Black Friday? I did — I do practice what I preach. I went mall-style actually, probably the most congested of all shopping destinations. Funny enough, I didn't do any shopping for myself; I was successful in the gift arena though. I'm happy to say I'm about half done with my holiday shopping! Today is Cyber Monday, which is quickly becoming the biggest shopping day for those who seek the best online deals. Apparently, 72 percent of online retailers have special promotions today. So get on it!

If you're like me and like to speed shop online, don't forget about ShopStyle and their Deals page. Also, Lucky's reward program is still on — ending tonight at midnight. Here are a few things that are on my wardrobe registry. Santa, are you reading?

Get the Look: Hayden's Cheery Gym Look Hayden Panettiere looking super cute leaving the gym recently. I am loving her youthful and fun workout gear (much brighter than my all my black clothes). I may feel inspired to brighten it up a bit, besides the winter is dark enough as it is why not brighten it up?

Anne Hathaway returned to her stylish The Devil Wears Prada roots while at a Saks Fifth Avenue soirée. She looks sleek and unfussy in a burgundy mini dress and black tights. I must commend her for not going the usual route of black shoes and instead wearing metallic booties. As for her dramatic haircut, it has taken her from drab to Fab!

Fab Flash: Sigerson Morrison — The Lifestyle Brand

You know, I could have seen this one coming.

You know, I could have seen this one coming. The designers behind shoe label Sigerson Morrison have really carved their niche with delicate flats and vintage-inspired heels; yours truly has a few pairs herself. The only way is up and Miranda Morrison and Kari Sigerson are expanding big time with their first-ever global marketing campaign and additional product categories such as handbags, eyewear, and small leather goods.

Their lower-priced line, Belle by Sigerson Morrison, will also have a more distinct personality. Belle is more lighthearted and colorful and the Belle logo is being redesigned to be more recognizable. But a lot of time and energy is going into their official handbag launch — in full force next Spring. Looks like I'll have to make some more space in my closet for Sigerson Morrison!

It's a casual affair, just the lady of honor and a few of her closest gal pals, so your outfit should be nothing over-the-top. And no Jimmy Choos: we wouldn't want what happened to Carrie Bradshaw to happen to you!

I'll start you off with this J Brand 'Pallatzo' Denim Pants ($218) because it's a great denim wash and simply: comfy chic. Come back and tell me when your Fab Finds are up and tag them baby shower.

Trend Alert: Seeing Leopard Spots

Wearing a leopard print is a bold gesture — see Edie Sedgwick — but sometimes that's the intention.

Wearing a leopard print is a bold gesture — see Edie Sedgwick — but sometimes that's the intention. I love that we've been seeing leopard spots on the backs of celebs and on the runway; Valentino sure knows how to create a spotted masterpiece (middle). Does a leopard print coat stir up your animal instincts?
