As if it wasn't obvious throughout the year: I have a serious girl crush on Diane Kruger. It must have been all her stunning red-carpet looks that did me in. You all voted Reese for best red-carpet style of 2007 — yes, that canary, Nina Ricci cocktail dress will go down in history — but I've been monitoring Diane throughout the year. She is the new, official Queen of the Red Carpet. Just beautiful.

This was a tough one for you all, but in the end, Balenciaga prevailed. I am all about Yves Saint Laurent these days but that shouldn't come as a big surprise considering we gave away a YSL Tribute last week. My reasoning? Yes, Balenciaga is great and Chanel is amazing, but YSL really stepped up their handbag game this year and gave us more than a few delectable options: Tribute, Muse, Downtown, and Uptown. S'il vous plaît!
Ah, young love, so sweet and envy inducing. They've finally found one another, and since they can't stop yapping about their romance, you know them too well.

We already have less Gossip Girl episodes to look forward to than we should. Now, as we near the beginning of next year and awards season, the deadlocked writers' strike may be putting even more kinks in the works: red-carpet fashion might just be a thing of the past.
Writers are already set to picket the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, and the Oscars are soon after on Feb. 24. Hollywood insiders are predicting that this could be a red carpet-less awards season, because the writers expect actors to refuse to cross the picket lines.
Imagine a world without Reese's yellow Nina Ricci dress or Gwyneth's pink Ralph Lauren gown — what a sad, sad world indeed.
Actress Hilary Swank really outdid herself at the P.S. I Love You premiere in Ireland. Her white Yves Saint Laurent corset-top dress is one of the most ethereal we've seen her in yet. The golden accessories — the minaudiere, shoes, earrings, mesh bracelet, and ring — add a touch of shine and class. If this is how Hilary is going to dress from now on, then I definitely want to see more of her on the red carpet.
It looks like Kate Moss may have opened the floodgates for supermodels designing clothes: Gisele is set to design a range of clothing with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.
Although she has been prodded by various offers to design in the past, Gisele stuck to modeling and endorsing until Dolce & Gabbana gave her an offer she couldn't refuse. The line, Bundchen by Dolce & Gabbana, is set to unveil next Spring. I wonder if it will include any bikinis . . .
If you weren't in the holiday mood yet, last night's episode of Gossip Girl should have gotten you there. There's nothing like Christmastime in New York City — although San Francisco ain't too shabby either. Christmas lights and warm fuzzy feelings aside, last night delivered some scandalous behavior, i.e Blair flat-out tripping her father's lovah, but the good outweighed the bad.
