Beauty Marked: A New Hairdryer

Ever since my Solano Top Power 3200 Hairdryer broke, I've been looking for a new one with the following criteria: My hair gets frizzy so I need a hair dryer with a narrow nozzle attachment.

Ever since my Solano Top Power 3200 Hairdryer broke, I've been looking for a new one with the following criteria:

  • My hair gets frizzy so I need a hair dryer with a narrow nozzle attachment.
  • I like it to have a high wattage so it doesn't take me forever to dry my long hair.
  • I love the cool shot feature. It's an essential if you want to set your hair in different styles.
  • It has to be lightweight since I travel frequently.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my Beauty Mark It! post and helped me find something fabulous that is tailored to my needs! To see all of the new hairdryers you have chosen for me, click here.

Beauty Mark #1 found by Nannychica, is the Conair Ceramic Ionic Styler, $25.99. It is a ceramic dryer that has a self-regulating heater in it that creates even heat distribution, less frizz and more shine!

Look of the Day

Look of The Day: Theme Night! Red & Black

I love theme nights too!

I love theme nights too! Theme parties are such a great wardrobe creative outlet. I actually have an 80s party coming up later this month...Anywho, sinplicit went to a red and black theme party and this is what she wore. I appreciate how she wore striped hose with this very short mini - what a classy dame.

She is today's Look Book Look of the Day!

Here's what she put together:

  • Black blazer: Banana Republic
  • Black/red lace mini: xoxo
  • Xlong red tee: lux
  • Black tights: Target
  • And you can't see, but she's wearing black peeptoe pumps from Anne Klein

Congrats sinplicit!

Fab Site

Fab Site: Creatures of Comfort

Inspired by founder Jade Lai and her globetrotting fashion adventures, Creatures of Comfort is a fab site that focuses on young international labels.

Inspired by founder Jade Lai and her globetrotting fashion adventures, Creatures of Comfort is a fab site that focuses on young international labels. A friend of mine was just visiting LA and told me about how much she enjoyed the flagship store and said I should check out the online store. Hard-to-find designers such as Emma Cook, Peter Jensen and Alexandre Herchcovitch can be found here. Also, Lai is debuting her own line this Spring.

While the site is very minimalistic it actually makes perusing very easy. You can search for items by keywords, by category (including sale), or by designer. Here are some of my picks:

You all seemed to enjoy the heartwear I showed you a couple weeks ago, which actually did feature a heart jewelry item. In Tinseltown heart jewelry has its fans too, as seen in this week's Life & Style. With the spirit of Valentine's Day strong, I feel one can wear heart jewelry year 'round - does that make me a hopeless romantic year 'round?

Celebrity Designers

Celebrity Style: Rachel Bilson

How does Rachel Bilson always look adorable even when she isn't trying?

How does Rachel Bilson always look adorable even when she isn't trying? Grrr. She shows us that schlepping through the airport doesn't mean you can't be comfortable and cute, not to mention how refreshing it is to see this star lacking a diva attitude. You are all so hesitant to give up your Uggs this winter, but Rachel proves there are cuter and more fashionable alternatives out there!

Love It or Hate It

Alexander McQueen Feather Hem Dress: Love It or Hate It?

How would you all have felt if someone, say Mandy Moore, wore this Alexander McQueen Feather Hem Dress, $10,730, on the Grammys red carpet?

How would you all have felt if someone, say Mandy Moore, wore this Alexander McQueen Feather Hem Dress, $10,730, on the Grammys red carpet? Would it have been better than the hippie frock she looked very uncomfortable in? This sage knee length silk chiffon ostrich feather trimmed dress with high-cut neck and beaded detail is definitely a work of fashion art - but do you love it?

Dogs

Give (Wo)man's Best Friend a Lil' Something Sexy

Renée Ryan, owner of Sexy Beast is what you might call "a dog person."

Renée Ryan, owner of Sexy Beast is what you might call "a dog person." After a day of shopping for her pooch Austin, she realized that there were no everyday maintenance products out on the market for pooches. She saw tons of shampoos, conditioners and bath products, but no styling systems to achieve the same quality of a professional groom.

Given her background in marketing fragrance and beauty products for big name companies, she decided to come up with her own line of grooming products available to folks right at home. Sexy beast brings beauty to the pet market! And with the Westminster Dog Show under way, where the creme de la creme canines are perfectly coiffed, this product launch has perfect timing.

It is a three step process that results in a glossy, deodorized, healthy and delicious smelling coat. There is also a fresh smelling perfume for dogs as part of the line. Sexy Beast is the only canine collection that is 100% Vegan and Hypo-allergenic. For those of you who are looking to pamper your pets this Valentine's Day, this is the perfect way to show your love and appreciation for (wo)man's best friend.
