Fab Finding

Fab Finding Follow Up: The First Date

Oh the first date.

Oh the first date. The possibilities, the anticipation, the stomach flutters. What to wear? There are many settings for a first date so let's pick the most classic: dinner. Nothing too fancy, nothing too shabby. He will pick you up, like a gentleman, and wisk you away to a (hopefully) delicious and exciting dinner. My recommendation on what to wear: don't be overly sexy, be flirty, feminine and flaunt your best assets! I started you off with this Anya Hindmarch Luce folded clutch, $295, 'cause nothing says lady like a pretty clutch.

I asked you all to go Fab Finding for the perfect first date outfit. To see all the first date finds click here. Let's see what you all came up with!

Look #1, found by tor is subtly sexy with this Tufi Duek eggplant jersey velvet trim blouson tank and Rupert Sanderson Navy Leather patent pumps.

Yves Saint Laurent

YSL Paris: Jardins Romantiques

Every Spring since 2002, Yves Saint Laurent launches a new limited edition version of their longtime favorite scent YSL Paris as a tribute to the capital of love.

Every Spring since 2002, Yves Saint Laurent launches a new limited edition version of their longtime favorite scent YSL Paris as a tribute to the capital of love. The latest fragrance to join this group is called YSL Paris Jardins Romantiques, $50.

Jardins Romantiques is intended to capture the first scents of Spring in a Parisian garden. It is a fresh mix of: mandarin, rose, lilac, violet, newly cut grass and a hint of sandalwood musk as a hearty base note.

The packaging is quite exquisite too. The bottle resembles a rose growing amidst piquant notes of fresh grass. The fragrance itself dons a delicate shade of pale green and the bottle cap is a glossy, light pink. There are also finely drawn beautiful rose corollas on the bottle and lightly silhouetted trees in the background.

This is an extremely elegant and feminine scent that evokes dreams of sitting in a garden in Paris in the springtime, thinking of romance, adventure and emotion. This fragrance will be available at the beginning of April. I can't wait!

Celebrity Style: Mischa Barton

Mischa Barton is ready for summer!

Mischa Barton is ready for summer! As the temperature keeps rising in LA, I can't wait to see what our favorite celebs will be wearing. Can you tell I'm ready for summer too? I happen to be a big fan of wedges and I adore these fab YSL shoes; they might not be all that practical for dog walking, but what the hell! Her boho outfit is a little missmatched, but with that face and body, I think she can pull it off.

Spring Lip Glosses, Part I: Lovely Lilacs

Welcome to part one of this five part series on Spring lip glosses!

Welcome to part one of this five part series on Spring lip glosses! Lilacs, light violets and luscious purples are a hot beauty trend that have been seen on the runways and all over the cosmetics counters for Spring! Here are three of my favorites:

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy® Lip Gloss in Ripened, $12, is a long lasting, ultra sexy and shiny color-rich gloss that adds illustrious shine to your lips without that gooey sticky feeling. This soft and sexy color looks great alone or is perfect over any soft purple or neutral colored lipstick.

Laura Mercier Lip Gloss in Violet Glace, $20, is an all time favorite of mine. I wear it over her Amethyst Lipstick and it never fails me.

This gloss glides on smoothly and evenly and it feels very hydrating on your mouth since it contains Vitamin E, Lanolin and mineral oil. It is sheer enough to be worn alone, but also perfect for layering.

Look of The Day: Pretty Darn Cute for Running Errands!

I admit when I'm running errands I do not look super fab, just a wee bit fab.

I admit when I'm running errands I do not look super fab, just a wee bit fab. I tend to simply wear jeans, flats, some comfy top and my hair purposely haphazard, oh, and no makeup - to give my face a break. zeldaf has proven that one can look pretty darn cute for running errands. I'm going to have to clean up my act after seeing this! I especially like how the headband serves both a functional and fashionable purpose.

She is today's Look Book Look of the Day!

She didn't say what designers she's wearing so please stop by and tell us zeldaf!

Congrats zeldaf!

Fab Flash: Marc Jacobs Is Back In Rehab

Oi! Gevalt! Marc Jacobs has checked himself into rehab...again.

Oi! Gevalt! Marc Jacobs has checked himself into rehab...again. WWD reports that after seven years of stone cold sobriety, the designer recently relapsed and has decided to undergo a second round of in-patient rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse.

The day after showing his latest LV collection at Paris Fashion Week, he immediately left and checked himself into a private treatment facility in Arizona. Jacobs has publicly acknowledged substance abuse problems in the past.

We are big fans of MJ and wish him only the best. To hear more about what his business partner Robert Duffy has to say on the matter, read more

Trend Alert: Safari Gear

I have yet to go on a real exotic and dangerous safari in the heart of Africa - though it is on my list.

I have yet to go on a real exotic and dangerous safari in the heart of Africa - though it is on my list. However, with this Spring's offerings of safari gear I can pretend to be battling overgrown foliage and witnessing nature's beasts in their elements. Or, I can sit at my neighborhood cafe and read I Dreamed Of Africa (tearjerker btw) and look very in vogue. For a needed bit of glamour, I would add an everyday gold necklace and bronzer for that just stepped off a Michael Kors runway look! Here are my picks.

GAP Leather safari jacket, $248.

Come Fab Finding With Me: Sassy St. Patty's Day!

How fun is it that St. Patrick's day is on a Saturday this year?

How fun is it that St. Patrick's day is on a Saturday this year? Now I'm not Irish but I always enjoy an excuse to dress festively and make a toast, or three. Assuming I will have some fun plans this coming weekend, it's only appropriate we give the Irish holiday the Fab Finding it deserves. I will start you off with these sassy Bottega Veneta Woven T-Strap Platforms, $960. Ok, I know the heel is hefty but they look comfortable enough for a night on the town and while they aren't green I thought they were a hue that would complement green nicely.

Let's all go Fab Finding for a fun Saturday night St. Patty's ensemble! I was thinking some hot cropped jeans (to show off the shoes!), a green top, jacket, shoulder bag and subtle jewelry . Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with St Patrick's Day.

Love It or Hate It

Henry Cuir Puzzle Tote: Love It or Hate It?

Is it me or does this Henry Cuir Puzzle Tote, $995, look like a Shar Pei?

Is it me or does this Henry Cuir Puzzle Tote, $995, look like a Shar Pei? Henry Cuir's bags are completely handmade and handstitched in Italy, but I think he missed the mark with this one and aimed for a puzzle that turned out totally puzzling. I think you know where I stand, what about you?
