Somewhere exciting!

I am happy to share I will be attending Fashion Week Live in San Francisco. This is way cool because I get to see a runway show of selections from the New York Fall 2007 ready-to-wear collections by Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein, Badgley Mischka, Nanette Lepore and Michael Kors. Oh, and did I mention Naomi Campbell will be working it on the catwalk? Wahoo! Stay tuned to hear how it was tomorrow...

Fab Read: Face of Fashion

In conjunction with an exhibit at London's National Portrait Gallery this Fab Read lets you live vicariously through a book to view this unique collection of fashion portraits.

In conjunction with an exhibit at London's National Portrait Gallery this Fab Read lets you live vicariously through a book to view this unique collection of fashion portraits. If you happen to live in London, or will be passing by, this exhibit is on display until May 28. This striking volume presents the intensely unconventional, often unnervingly intimate portraiture being made by some of today's most creative and original fashion photographers.

Many of the subjects are celebrities, so they are right up Sugar readers' alley, featuring photos of Kate Moss by Corinne Day, Madonna by Steven Klein and by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Sting by Paolo Roversi and many more.

Face in Fashion can be purchased for $48 here.

Fab Finding Follow Up: A Winter to Spring Outfit

One of the trickiest wardrobe times is the seasonal transition.

One of the trickiest wardrobe times is the seasonal transition. How annoying is it when the sun is pouring in through your windows but you step outside and it is surprisingly crispy cold? You then feel unprepared for the rest of the day - or even worse, have to turn around, run home, and add another layer.

The solution to this dilemma is layering. This was a Fall trend that carried over into Spring, so luckily we've been seeing numerous examples on the runways and magazines. I showed you a look from the Marc Jacobs Spring collection for inspiration. I asked you to go Fab Finding for some Spring layering essentials. Layering rule of thumb: keep the silhouette slim, to avoid looking frumpy! To see all the Winter to Spring outfit Fab Finds click here. Let's see what you all came up with!

Look #1, found by RCLdesigngirl is sophisticated and complete with these Victoria's Secret The Marisa Fit Wide-Leg pant and Bottega Veneta light brown woven leather large 'Veneta' hobo.

Spring Lip Glosses, Part IV: Hot Pinks

Welcome to part three of a five part series on Spring lip glosses!

Welcome to part three of a five part series on Spring lip glosses! Hot shot pink lips and sexy bold shades are a hot beauty trend that have been seen on the runways and all over the cosmetics counters for Spring! Here are three of my favorite pretty hot pink lip glosses:

Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Gloss in Fresh Berry, $20, is an amazing ultra shiny, sleek and chic lip gloss that you heard about here first! It's not even out yet. The colors that I have linked to are the older ones; 12 new shades (including this one) will be available online and at Estēe Lauder counters nationwide in May 2007.

Not only are these glosses sheer, lightweight and pearlized, but I really love the luxe packaging. They are small, elegant and have a classy gold top!

Mischa Barton really loves her dresses this season...she's a girl after my own heart! Since she is no longer the BeBe spokeswomen, she sure does seem to have more time on her hands to do what she does best: shop and lunch. Good for you Mischa! If we could all be so lucky...

Love It or Hate It

Louis Vuitton Tribute Handbag: Love It or Hate It?

Wowsers. The prices of designer handbags are really starting to get out of control.

Wowsers. The prices of designer handbags are really starting to get out of control. New from Louis Vuitton is this limited edition (and I mean limited - there are only four available in the US) "Tribute Bag."

It is a mish-mosh of styles and patterns of 15 LV bags of past generations sewn together to create a patchwork design. Last month during Paris Fashion Week it was deemed a "Frankenstein Monster." Ouch.

Brace yourself if you are even the slightest bit intrigued because this controversial purse has a shocking price-tag of $42,000!

I have to say it: this bag ain't even all that! It is confusing, and I know that this statement may be in poor taste, but it kind of makes me wonder if Marc Jacobs was relapsing when he designed this.

It looks like something Mary-Kate Olsen would wear when she's dressed in her granny clothes. Sorry, we're not loving it in the least, what do you all think?!

Fashion Flash

Fab Flash: Heidi Klein Opens A Boutique In The U.S.

Finally, a bit of British holiday in the heart of New York City!

Finally, a bit of British holiday in the heart of New York City! Heidi Klein started in London in 2002 with a vacation-centric store. The founders, Heidi Gosman and Penny Klein both appreciated how difficult it was to shop for holiday essentials and a well fitting swim suit. The vision of the company is to "Help women look fantastic and to get organized before a holiday."

The boutique, which has opened on the Upper East Side in NYC is reminiscent of a relaxed, calm and chic high-end vacation spot. The walls are white and accented with beautiful sheer white curtains which make you feel like you are in a cabana. They sell: women's swimwear, beach cover-ups, kaftans, flip flops, tops, sarongs, hats, sunglasses, bags as well as pieces for men and children.
