Fab Finding Follow Up: A New Umbrella

Spring weather is around the corner, and for some of us it is already here.

Spring weather is around the corner, and for some of us it is already here. I think I am overdue to purchase a fun new umbrella! I already love these rainbow colored petite Samsonite® Pocket Trimline Umbrellas, $18.95. They are small enough to fit in my handbag so I always have one on me in case of surprise stormy weather. I asked you all to Fab Find and share your favorite umbrellas. To see all the fabulous umbrella finds click here.

Umbrella #1, found by jke is this cheerful Cath Kidston Birdcage - Bubble Rose umbrella. I think it would certainly put a smile on my face on a gloomy, rainy day.

The Look for Less: Vince White Eyelet Empire Dress

Can I please ask why someone would spend so much on such an easily ruinable summer staple like the LWD?

Can I please ask why someone would spend so much on such an easily ruinable summer staple like the LWD? In case you haven't heard, white is one of this Spring's essential colors. Now I love white as much as the next fake tanning girl, but it is one of the riskiest colors to wear. I don't think I have ever splurged on something white; I just don't think it's a smart investment. I also have butter fingers and tend to spill, run into and trip about so at the end of the day there is always a stain on me, especially if I'm wearing white (why does that always happen btw?). So there's my rant. While I think this Vince White Eyelet Empire Dress, $320, is way cute, I would never spend this much money on it. Now if it came in black...

LORAC Cheek Stamp

Chic Cheek Stamps

Chic cheek stamps are the newest way to package powder blushes.

Chic cheek stamps are the newest way to package powder blushes. They are mess free, they have easy portability and they are super fun! Also, they help to lighten the load; a cheek stamp takes care of your need for a separate blush brush. Here's a look at three chic cheek stamps new to the scene.

Cheek Stamp by LORAC, $22, is a powder blush with a satin finish. This blush is not for the shy gal; the colors are fierce, and are meant to be worn bright on the apples of your cheeks.

From what I've heard, the colors are incredible, however, if you wear a powder foundation as well, the blush looks a bit cakey. This means that you should use an additional blush brush to blend it out. Available in five colors.

Love It or Hate It

Stella McCartney Sea Grass Thong Sandal: Love It or Hate It?

OMG! These Stella McCartney Sea Grass Thong Sandals, $575, make my feet itch just looking at them.

OMG! These Stella McCartney Sea Grass Thong Sandals, $575, make my feet itch just looking at them. We know superstar Stella is an anti-fur advocate and vegan all about organic skin care, but I think taking nature to the wedge is a no go here. These also come in a natural color, which seem a bit less abrasive but in the dark color these look like dead seaweed wrapped around the foot; what a difference a color makes! What do you all think? Love or hate?

Jennifer Hudson

Beauty Byte: Jennifer Hudson Signs With Avon

Yesterday Avon Products Inc.

Yesterday Avon Products Inc. signed Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson to be the latest spokesperson for their Imari brand and the new scent, Imari Seduction. The fragrance will go on sale in August.

Hudson says, "This is an honor for me and very flattering."

She is the latest in a string of celebrities to attach their names to fragrances. Market research firm NPD Group believes that celebrity fragrances made up almost a quarter of the top 100 women's fragrance brands last year - which is up from 10% in 2003.

This collaboration is really very exciting for this rising singer and starlet. Avon is the world's largest direct seller of cosmetics, and Imari has been its best selling fragrance since its launch 20 years ago. Wow, congrats again Jen!
