Skin cancer is very prevalent in our society today, so be sure to take advantage of the free skin cancer screening program next month, called Skin Cancer Takes Friends.

According to reports, Olay and the American Society for Dermatological Surgery have teamed up with Desperate Housewife, Marcia Cross, to spread awareness of the program, which is meant to encourage people to bring their friends to dermatologic surgeons for a free screening. Look out for Marcia, who will appear in a national print campaign in Shape Magazine and in in-store visuals.

"I'm proud to be part of a cause that is near and dear to my heart," said actress Marcia Cross. "Having had two family members suffer from melanoma, I've come to understand the importance of skin cancer detection and prevention."

It has been reported that over the weekend, Jessica Simpson was busy modeling for the Fall ad campaign for her label in Los Angeles. Among the products she was showcasing? Sunglasses, swimwear, lingerie and outerwear. The success of the Jessica Simpson shoes (the ballerina flat was the number-one selling shoe in American in 2006) inspired Jessica, along with her master licensee, the Camuto Group, to expand the brand.

Jessica isn't just involved in modeling for her line though; she has also been very hands-on with every step of the process.

"Jessica is here and 100 percent involved in this brand," Camuto said. "She will come off a plane from London and sit here for 10 hours approving designs. Nothing gets into the store without her approval. This brand will grow into a complete lifestyle as Jessica sees it."

Be on the look out for more Jess-approved products like affordable sportswear, fine jewelry, home goods, stationery, fragrance. I personally feel, with all these celeb fashion lines, if I see the celeb wearing her creations, she is completely invested in it. It has arrived! Or rather, the mayhem has begun! In anticipation of the Kate Moss/Topshop launch, Kate herself served as a mannequin in the storefront window on London's Oxford Street Topshop store. Here she is playing coy in one of her creations. The doors opened a couple of hours ago and there's no doubt there was a mad rush if you see the lines of lassies who gathered in front of the store.
