Fab Shampoos and Conditioners for Curly Hair

Curly hair can be challenging.

Curly hair can be challenging. To achieve soft looking ringlets, there needs to be just the right amount of moisture and pH balance in the product. The goal is to hydrate, tame and keep frizz away from your precious curly Q's.

Worry no more! These three shampoos and conditioners have been designed specifically for wavy and curly hair. They will add shine and help to improve the texture of your curls. To see more products for curly hair click here.

Fekkai Luscious Curls Shampoo, $22, and Fekkai Luscious Curls Conditioner, $22, is a gentle shampoo and conditioning duo that cleanses hair and helps to re-energize your curls. It also helps eliminate frizz and add shine.

It's made with a sweet smelling blend of honey nectar and ginseng and will detangle your curls without weighing them down. Luscious Curls will also control, smooth and nourish your hair.

It is recommended to finish in the shower with a cool rinse on your hair to seal the hair cuticle and lock in moisture.

Love It or Hate It

Nanette Lepore 'Naughty Knot' Wedge: Love It or Hate It?

Thank you lilxmissxmolly for finding these Nanette Lepore 'Naughty Knot' Wedges.

Thank you lilxmissxmolly for finding these Nanette Lepore 'Naughty Knot' Wedges. Though they are $465, I love them! I'm sure you've all picked up on the fact I adore wedges but these are simply poetic. I love the knots and the black patent round buckle. I usually don't like things with writing on them but this is fashion graffiti at its best. Lastly, these are a bit artsy, just right for the Marni girl next door.

Here's one celebrity mom who has a style you will hopefully like better than yesterday's!

Here's one celebrity mom who has a style you will hopefully like better than yesterday's! I for one love these red plaid lumberjack tops we've been seeing and I'm currently looking out for the perfect pair of zippered cropped jeans. Courteney is one mom who proves fashion doesn't have to suffer post baby! I for one have been a CC fan since her debut in Springsteen's "Dancing in the dark" video. You've come a long way baby!

Beauty Byte: A Mini Market For Travelers

It appears as though the beauty industry is experiencing mini mania!

It appears as though the beauty industry is experiencing mini mania! Companies such as Biotherm, L'Oreal, Lancome, Laura Mercier, Jonathan, Skyn, and Tom Robinn have manufactured and launched mini-sized beauty products to conveniently help abide the new airplane travel laws. Even Sephora is now selling miniature products.

Just so you know, the rules are as follows: all liquids that are allowable on airplanes must be in 100-ml. or smaller bottles and transported in re-sealable plastic bags. This rule has been in effect since August 2006.

If beauty companies want to continue to be successful, then they must change with the times and the laws. People are not going to spend money on full sized products, just to have them thrown in the trash. More companies now than ever are also beginning to pay attention to the needs of men.

Creations such as Day Tripper Shaving Sets encased in clear plastic packaging by Biotherm Homme have become best sellers. Companies are using this big opportunity to create small packaging by offering small bottles with purchase alongside full size products for travel purposes. Happy travels!

Trend Alert

Trend Alert: Geometry

As much as my mom will tell you I was a good student at math, I hated Geometry.

As much as my mom will tell you I was a good student at math, I hated Geometry. I don't know what it was but I struggled with angular equations; I think it's a left-brain right-brain thing. I did enjoy Algebra though...Enough about my brain, point is: I'd rather wear Geometry than learn it! These striking prints have a decidedly 60s feel to them, but are plenty modern with updated styling. Give your wardrobe a smart boost with one of these perplexing prints.

Dress You Up! Maxi Dresses

Ok so this first model in a serious maxi dress looks like a tree, but that is the effect the longest dress of all can help one achieve.

Ok so this first model in a serious maxi dress looks like a tree, but that is the effect the longest dress of all can help one achieve. I was actually just on a hunt for a maxi dress and ended up scoring an awesome black silk Corey Lynn Calter one. I wore it to Fashion Week Live last month. I gotta tell ya, I stood out (in a good way) amongst all the legs and got several compliments. My analysis: maxi dresses are the next 'It' dress. After all, the only way to go after the mini dress is down, way down. I wore mine with some exotic flats because I am tall; if you're on the shorter side, these look retro redone with a solid pair of wood-heeled wedges.
