Love It or Hate It

GAP Canvas Tote Bag: Love It or Hate It?

What a funny looking little tote.

What a funny looking little tote. This tote reminds me of that famous line from Clueless where the redhead just got a nose job and she says, "Excuse me, but my plastic surgeon requested that I refrain from any activity that involves balls flying in my face" and the fab Dionne responds: "Well there goes your social life." Classic! So, I know this Canvas Tote Bag is only $17, what do you all think? Love this little dude or hate it?

Look of the Day: Not So Mellow Yellow

Wendybird33 did a spot-on job channeling Rachel Bilson at the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 party in her not so mellow yellow outfit!

Wendybird33 did a spot-on job channeling Rachel Bilson at the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 party in her not so mellow yellow outfit! She even mastered the actress' red-carpet pose. I love the juxtaposition of the oh-so-current bright yellow of the cropped jacket and its 60s-inspired mod buttons. And the Peter Pan collar is just the icing on the cake - so playful-cum-girly.

Here's her outfit breakdown:

Celebrity Style: Ashlee Simpson

Here is the little Simpson sis looking electric!

Here is the little Simpson sis looking electric! While I am way less interested in her romantic life, her fashion life is booming; and really, that's all that matters to me! She's definitely aspiring for the rocker girlfriend look here, with a bit of new wave. One thing is for sure: today's PYTs know what colors suit them. Rachel Bilson looked richly brunette in her lavender pants while Ashlee looks party on blond in her cobalt blue ones. To see missixty02's version, click here

Trend Alert: His Vest

There are quite a few things we are taking from "the man" this Spring.

There are quite a few things we are taking from "the man" this Spring. We first saw it with a vengeance on the Spring/Summer runways and then we dabbled in menswear inspired accessories. I'd have to say I'm pretty excited for his vests. Vests are a cute cover up that add tailoring to a look and this Spring you can wear a vest preppy, striped or sporty - buttoned up or loosely open. Just keep the rest of the look flowy, so you don't look too buttoned up. Here's some suggested styling that proves vests are not too masculine and way modern.

Which Hairstyle Do You Like Best on Kelly?

I happen to be a huge fan of Kelly Ripa.

I happen to be a huge fan of Kelly Ripa. She can be a little corny at times, but hey, nobody's perfect. I also think she's really pretty (although a tad too skinny for my taste). When I saw these old time photos of her, I could hardly believe it. This soap opera star really depicts daytime hair drama!

I am glad to see that she's adventurous with her hairstyles, but I think her most current color and cut is a home run. The fifth look (bottom center) is my favorite. Her hair is shiny and at a healthy looking length. Which hairstyle do you like best on Kelly?

Fab Flash: Royal Underground's Rockin' Women's Wear

Before Angelina Jolie became the face of St. John, there was Kelly Gray, the model/daughter of the American luxury brand’s founders.

Before Angelina Jolie became the face of St. John, there was Kelly Gray, the model/daughter of the American luxury brand’s founders.

I’m thrilled that Kelly handed down the modeling throne to Angelina, not because Angie has an impeccable jawline and flawless skin, but because it's given Kelly the time to work on her soon-to-be launched women’s wear collection and men’s jewelry line for Royal Underground, the contemporary men’s wear company she started with Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx. I know, it sounds like an unlikely pair considering St. John is more for ladies who lunch than rugged rock ‘n rollers. It's been reported, that that’s precisely what Gray intended: “It’s fairly different from my St. John life."

Thanks to Kelly and Nikki, come late summer, when their new line lands in stores, our wardrobes will be much more rockin’ and rollin' with pieces ranging from leather jackets, cashmere sweaters, T-shirts, jeans, dresses and skirts. Let the hard-edge splurging begin!

Come Fab Finding With Me: A "Bottom Heavy" Figure

We have decided to make it a priority to address a very important fashion category: dressing for your body type.

We have decided to make it a priority to address a very important fashion category: dressing for your body type. It would be silly for a fashion magazine, or blog, to think that all women were created equal, body-wise, so we're here to help and answer your questions.

DearSugar recently gave some sound advice to a reader who was a self-proclaimed "bottom heavy" woman. As well, the comments on her post offered even more advice - brava ladies! I will start you off with this Lane Bryant Flouncy gored skirt, $40. We all know black is the first color that comes to mind when seeking slimming and this skirt has a slight A line & feminine ruffle.

Let's paint this dressing for your body type a picture and go Fab Finding for a great outfit that disguises a "bottom heavy figure." Be sure to consult DearSugar's story if you have any questions. Be sure to come back and tell me your Fab Finds are up, or just tag your Fab Finds with bottom heavy.

Clinique

Fresh Bloom Spring Collection by Clinique

Clinique has done it again.

Clinique has done it again. They were the first department store beauty brand I ever bought, their products are gentle on the skin and they constantly reinvent themselves. So they're not the edgiest brand in town - what I love about them is that what they make is built to last. If you take inventory over the years, I'll bet every one's got a Clinique product on their top ten list; mine is their Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.

Their latest launch is a collection for Spring called Fresh Bloom. I am sure you've seen the beautiful images of their sweet floral Fresh Bloom All Over Color $29.50, blush and highlighter compact inside all of your favorite glossy mags.

This is just part of the collection but from what jennifer76 has reported in the Beauty Product Junkies group, it's already become a hot commodity. Oh and I thought it came in just one shade, but it actually comes in peach, pink, plum and almond variations! I have yet to try it, but I can't wait. Other products from this line include: an eye shadow trio, happy in bloom perfume, glossy mascara, eye liner pencils, butter shine lipsticks, lip plumpers and a powder brush.

Everything is currently available online and at Clinique counters nationwide. Click here to join the Beauty Product Junkies group on TeamSugar!

I have to admit: I've always cared more about what goes on over my undergarments than what goes on underneath.

I have to admit: I've always cared more about what goes on over my undergarments than what goes on underneath. But I have a handful of gal pals who are lingerie enthusiasts just like the founder of Evlove Intimates, Jenny Dombroski. The online design studio is dummy-proof and can be completed in three simple steps. Get creative with bras, camis, thongs, boy shorts, chemises and bralets by choosing vibrant or pastel colors, trimmings and embellishments and various soft-against-your-skin fabrics.

If you're like me and don't get super excited for undergarments, you can always get an Evlove Intimates gift certificate for your panty-loving friends and they'll discover that comfort and beauty can coexist!

The Look for Less: The Burberry Trench

Burberry is known for its incredibly well-made, chic trench coats, but what's the point if we can't have one (or two or three) in our closets?

Burberry is known for its incredibly well-made, chic trench coats, but what's the point if we can't have one (or two or three) in our closets? I purchased a trench a while back, and though it's not a super high fashion designer, it still gives my outfits a sprinkle of sophistication. This Burberry London Windsor Trench Coat, $1,175, definitely commands attention, especially with its signature buttons (sooo Burberry), belted waist and plaid lining.
