• A insightful quote from Ali Larter, winner of Battle of the Chanel: Lohan vs. Larter: "...it's the creme de la creme...every girl wants to own a piece...I just think that when you put it on you feel as beautiful as you can be."
• The runway door opens, the Chanel Line rolls in, and hello Chanel cruise!

Well, we started the day with some stellar fashion, and we must end the day with some not-so-stellar fashion. 'Tis fashion!

From the looks of this outfit, Britney is in a very confused state, though that is not that shocking. Her top half - the large gold earrings, thick headband, snug black top and gold purse - looks like it's on its way to clubbing. Her bottom half, bright blue sporty shorts, looks like it's on its way to the gym. Why the dual personalities, Britney?

I'd have saved all the items in the top half for a night out and would have thrown on a simple, white tank and a sportier tote bag.

My all-time fave designer Marc Jacobs came out with his own version of the red plaid nylon shopping bag earlier in the year. But did you know he was most probably inspired by the original $2 Chinatown nylon plaid shopping bags? Needless to say, Marc is the one who made it cool to carry one of these puppies to the grocery store, or on your coffee run. But is it really worth paying a fortune for a nylon bag when you can get it for under $5?

If you have a dad, brother, boyfriend, or husband, chances are you've purchased a wallet, briefcase or luggage for them from Tumi, the 32-year-old accessories brand known for its travel gear. Come next month, you'll be able to pick up a Tumi handbag or two for yourself as well! It has been reported that, under the direction of executive creative director David Chu, the accessories brand is expanding into the women's market with four new handbag collections.

The line of bags is going to combine functionality with an everyday style, so don't expect to see any crazy designs. All the new pieces will first be sold exclusively at Tumi stores until Spring 2008. After that, you'll be able to find Tumi handbags at Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
