Fab Finding Follow Up: An Escape to Wine Country

I was recently reminiscing about a little (romantic) escape I once made to the wine country.

I was recently reminiscing about a little (romantic) escape I once made to the wine country. If you haven't yet had a chance to take a taxi, or limo, around a wine country to taste all the delightful vino out there I recommend doing so. It's such a delight!

I started you off with this Urban Outfitters Striped Floral Scarf, on sale for $15 (originally $28), because it reminded me of a 1994 Chateau Petrus Grand Vin Bordeaux I once had. AND, it's very Balenciaga Fall '07.

To see all the wine country fab finds go here. Let's see what you all come up with!

Oh! Now, you can be your own stylist and build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

Look #1, found by SarahwithanH is sophisticated with this CASTLE STARR Belted Print Top and these Earnest Sewn: Harlans in Wiltwyck.

Azalea Online is staying the same and changing all at the same time.

Azalea Online is staying the same and changing all at the same time. Confusing much? Think of a cross-dresser who looks like a woman on the outside but is still a man at the core.

Come mid-June, the online site for the San Francisco-based boutique will be deemed Tobi.com. It's still the same Azalea team on the inside, but with a new name, new look, better technology, features, content and layout. To be the first to know when the new site launches, go here and sign up. I can't wait to meet Tobi!

Fab Flash: Stefano Pilati Has Most Successful YSL Season Yet

From the looks of Stefano Pilati's collections for Yves Saint Laurent, one would never assume that the brand remains in the red as far as revenue goes.

From the looks of Stefano Pilati's collections for Yves Saint Laurent, one would never assume that the brand remains in the red as far as revenue goes. It has been that way since Gucci Group took control in 1999. YSL reported revenue of about $261 million in 2006, but it also had losses of $66 million that same year. That was, however, an improvement over the prior year, when it lost $89 million. When considering Stefano's predecessors Tom Ford and Karl Lagerfeld, it's not that surprising - he had some big shoes to fill!

The good news is that his Fall 2007 line, due out in stores in mid-June, is looking promising. This time around, Stefano let loose and stayed true to the YSL history of elegance and ease. If you can recall, prior seasons with Stefano had displayed jarring silhouettes and stuffy styles like formal collars.

Most importantly, the accessories and handbags have been selling like hotcakes; they account for more than half of the business. Sales were up in 2006 by 19.1 percent over the previous years thanks to the leather goods.

Style Glossary

Definition: Bandeau

Bandeau n. A folded horizontal band used as a decorative top of a strapless dress or swimsuit.

Bandeau

n. A folded horizontal band used as a decorative top of a strapless dress or swimsuit. Also a fabric bra top of a 2-piece swimsuit.

In the 1920s, bandeau referred to a simply shaped brassiere, usually of a soft fabric and delicate trimmings providing little support or shaping. By the 1950s, it came to refer to a structured outer garment worn around the breast area, following the contours of the body, but still retaining a relatively simple circle or band shape. A bandeau top was usually worn as part of a swimwear or sportswear ensemble and paired with a cropped jacket or bolero.

Style for Style: A Foot's Best Friend

I have scars on my feet.

I have scars on my feet. I'm sure we all have some scars on our feet. Our feet are our tools for experiencing life, really. They take us through our day-to-day and beyond. They are important, they are precious. We should take good care of them! So the next time you're not sure if you can afford a pedicure, consider this your pep talk.

Many of us also have a shoe fetish and will sometimes splurge on a killer pair that we pray will not pinch and blister our precious feetsies. Alas, it happens. And when it does, it's good to always have a certain something on your person.

Chanel Ivory Chain Handle Bag: Love It or Hate It?

Ahhh, Chanel! Thanks a million to Babyee--fashion for posting this Chanel Chain Handle Bag in the Love It or Hate It?

Ahhh, Chanel! Thanks a million to Babyee--fashion for posting this Chanel Chain Handle Bag in the Love It or Hate It? group! It's so buttery and beautiful. I love the chain handle because it's such a modern twist on the old-school Chanel chains; though it is a little out of the ordinary. Karl Lagerfeld + Chanel = match made in heaven. Do you agree?

Celebrity Style

Celebrity Style: Debra Messing

Let me start off by saying that I admire Debra Messing for embracing her natural paleness.

Let me start off by saying that I admire Debra Messing for embracing her natural paleness. The soon-to-be "The Starter Wife" looks casual yet sophisticated while strolling the streets in her lace LBD and barely-there sandals. Her look is the perfect example of how to dress down a LBD during the day. Though I admit I'm not usually a fan of Debra's safe fashion choices, I would totally rock this entire outfit from head to toe!

Look of the Day: Leggings Done Right!

There's a wrong way to wear leggings and there's a right way.

There's a wrong way to wear leggings and there's a right way. Andrea426 is definitely portraying the latter in her leggings done right outfit. I love how they reach her ankle, unlike so many tired cropped leggings out there. And the round-toe pumps are magnifique!

Here's what she's sporting:

  • Dress: H&M
  • Leggings: Target
  • Belt: H&M
  • Shoes: oh DEER!

Congrats to Andrea426!

Wowsers! Check out Sonia Boyajian's mystic and lush jewels. This LA-native apprenticed in Antwerp, Belgium, but is back in LA brewing up her fantastical jewelry. The jewelry designer is a self-proclaimed collector of miniature glass objects and loves the clarity and uniqueness of her finds. Objects gathered from her globetrotting adventures - plastic animals, precious stones, hand-soldered flowers, antique watches and faux pearls - co-exist on pieces that are both beautiful and quirky. These are the ideal jewels for a dreamer who sees her jewelry as art and for others who see it as a conversation piece. They range from $300-$2,000 and can be found at Barneys and other boutiques.

Let's wisk away to another mystic land that starts with an M and ends with an O.

Let's wisk away to another mystic land that starts with an M and ends with an O. I have yet to experience a rockin' Moroccan adventure but it is definitely on my list. When I see images of those colorful graphic tiles that grace many a hallway I yearn for a bazaar voyage. In the meantime, enjoy these bazaar finds!
