Fab Ad: Heidi Klum For Jordache

When it comes to advertising, tried and true, sex sells.

When it comes to advertising, tried and true, sex sells. Now, you would think people were more savvy nowadays but sometimes a sultry image does catch ones eye — whether good or bad. The new Jordache ads, sans Elizabeth Hurley, con Heidi Klum, are seriously smokin'. Shot by movie director Brett Ratner, I think they may go over in the lad mags pretty well, but they are provocative no matter where the media placement is. Heidi is hot, no doubt about that, and she makes a fine jeans girl. And actually, my attention does go to the jeans — and how they perfectly hug her perfect derrière. So long Liz, there's a new girl in Jordache town.

Fab Redux: Quite the In-Vest-Ment

Since I'm really getting into back to school mode, this little ivory sweater vest is perfect: right along the same school of thought!

Since I'm really getting into back to school mode, this little ivory sweater vest is perfect: right along the same school of thought! It's from the 80s and would be a great layering piece, especially come cooler Fall weather. Slip it on over a long-sleeved, blousy number and you're set (well except for the pants part)!

Back to Cool: The Bookworm

Every parent dreams their child to be the bookworm.

Every parent dreams their child to be the bookworm. What if you could be a bookworm and a style maven? Now that is what I call a prize daughter. This girl knows the tricks on how to cuddle up and remain chic, since she'll be walking to and from the library at all hours; she would emulate the snow bunnied up gals on the Marc by Marc Jacobs runway. There is no excuse to sacrifice style, not even when hitting the books.

Juicy Couture Patchwork Hobo: Love It or Hate It?

Color blocking is all over the place right now, but I think it should be limited to clothing items... This Juicy Couture Georgie Patchwork Hobo, $395, posted by Dmartinxoxo in the Love It or Hate It?

Color blocking is all over the place right now, but I think it should be limited to clothing items...

This Juicy Couture Georgie Patchwork Hobo, $395, posted by Dmartinxoxo in the Love It or Hate It? group proves my point. From the color blocking to the Juicy Couture crest (can we say cheesy?) to the blasé tones, it's all wrong. I hope I never see anyone carrying it. Am I being too harsh?

Who's That Girl?

ATTENTION: Before reading on, look at the photos below and guess who the blonde girls in fedoras are.

ATTENTION: Before reading on, look at the photos below and guess who the blonde girls in fedoras are. Ok, read on...

On Monday, I was playing PopSugar's Guess Who? when I mistook Nicky Hilton (left), clad in an off-white fedora, for Ashlee Simpson. On Tuesday, again, I played Guess Who? and swore Carmen Electra (center), wearing a similar fedora, was Ashlee. That got me thinking, "When did Ashlee, Nicky and Carmen, three very distinct girls, become triplets?" They have the same hair, disheveled clothes and are all practically living in their fedoras these days. To Ashlee's credit, she's the first one who sported the long, stringy hair and the fedora. These girls need to stop morphing into one another - it's confusing and utterly unoriginal. Are you with me?

Fab Flash: Teri Hatcher Fronts Badgley Mischka Campaign

She may play a desperate housewife, but that didn't deter Badgley Mischka from picking Teri as the face of their glamorous Fall collection.

She may play a desperate housewife, but that didn't deter Badgley Mischka from picking Teri as the face of their glamorous Fall collection. Shot by Ellen von Unwerth, who is famous for her vampy style, Teri explained why she, of Wisteria Lane fame, was chosen: "This is not just about couture. It is how every woman deserves to feel beautiful."

The photographs delivered have a campy feel to them, and I have to say: I'm not a fan. Though I adore von Unwerth's works, this is too much cheese and not enough of the glamour a Badgley Mischka collection deserves.

The campaign will appear in next month's issues of Vogue, Instyle, and Vanity Fair, as well as in an outdoor campaign.

Fab Site: CatBirdNYC.com

CatBirdNYC.com is what I would refer to as mecca - for unique jewelry that is.

CatBirdNYC.com is what I would refer to as mecca - for unique jewelry that is. Owner Rony Vardi stocks mostly local Brooklyn designers, many of whom she's found through some subway stalking: "I stop people on the subway if I like something they're wearing to find out where they got it."

Thus Catbird has become synonymous with silver rattler necklaces, gunmetal mounted buck rings, and silver sparrow earrings. Or to summarize, if you want quirky accents, get thee to Catbird!

Eva Longoria grabbed some coffee in LA wearing a T-Bags maxi dress. Though I am not a huge fan of the distracting geometric print, I do like the color scheme. She shows us how petite girls can fake looking tall - just throw on some chunky wedges for maximum height! The Fendi sunglasses and Prada handbag add some extra cha-ching to the outfit and take it from casual to high-end.

Strike A Pose!

So many inspirational modeling poses out there...so little time.

So many inspirational modeling poses out there...so little time. Well, Fab is making the time to attempt some of the challenging poses found in our favorite fashion mags like Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Teen Vogue, W and more. The question is: are you up for the challenge?

I will always start you off by imitating a difficult pose and then I want to see you try. Subscribe and then post your photos in the Strike A Pose! group and for this week's pose tag it with "Strike A Pose Challenge 1." I will select the best attempts and feature them on Fab! And the winning post will receive a FabSugar tee to pose away in 24/7.

I'll start off with this nearly-impossible pose featured in Teen Vogue's September issue. Doesn't it look like the model's head is turned around to her back? Needless to say, after many attempts, partysugar helped us out with her sharp Vogueing skills. Now it's your turn...let's see what you've got fellow posers!
