Looks like taking on The Hills of Hollywood has paid off for Lauren Conrad: her dream of being a fashion designer is being realized before she even graduates from college!

This September, LC is launching a 10-piece capsule collection of contemporary clothing, The Lauren Conrad Collection, will be sold exclusively on ShopLaurenConrad.com. Assuming the success of this small collection, LC also has a 44 piece Spring collection of everything from tank tops, billowy tops, and white linen rompers to floor-length gowns, which she hopes to have in specialty and department stores. And yes, she is already promoting her brand, she wore her self-design to the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday - and you all seemed to fancy it!

For the resort-spring season, LC will also unveil a set of clutches and bags produced by Linea Pelle, including a $45 coin purse, a $145 clutch, and a $350 tote bag in colors like black, mahogany, and dark olive. Girl's been busy!

Celebrity Style: Aisha Tyler

Aisha Tyler attended the Handprint Ceremony at Planet Hollywood in Times Square in this green Moschino Cheap and Chic keyhole dress.

Aisha Tyler attended the Handprint Ceremony at Planet Hollywood in Times Square in this green Moschino Cheap and Chic keyhole dress. I am a fan of the keyhole - especially when they're not too revealing. The dress would have been more flattering if it were slightly shorter but she still works it! The green hue also accentuates Aisha's beautiful skin.

Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson and Christian Louboutin have all contributed a charm for this year's limited edition necklace in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson and Christian Louboutin have all contributed a charm for this year's limited edition necklace in aid of Cancer Research UK. Each charm reflects the personal experience and character of its creator. Kate's (far right) is a pretty turquoise and silver swallow; Scarlett's (second from left) a white, yellow and orange lily; Christian's (center) is what else but a small golden shoe with his signature red sole.

The necklace, about $51, can be purchased starting September at Wallis. Twenty dollars from each necklace will go towards Cancer Research UK's work.

I was introduced to the clothing of Bay Area designer Lisa Vian Hunter at San Francisco Fashion Week over the weekend.

I was introduced to the clothing of Bay Area designer Lisa Vian Hunter at San Francisco Fashion Week over the weekend. Hunter got her degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and has been a fan of the fashion world for over 20 years. In 2003, she started custom designing clothing for Bay Area clients and in 2006, she opened her first boutique in Palo Alto, California.

Vian Hunter clothes are made of European fabrics and reflect the 50s, 60s and 70s. They manage to retain a modernity that translates well on the streets. Prices range from $250 to $825 for a dress to $95 to $365 for a top. Contact the designer for more information on where to purchase.

Badgley Mischka

On Our Radar: Badgley Mischka Platinum Dresses

A fan of Badgley Mischka's pretty evening dresses, but can't quite swallow the not-so-pretty pricetags?

A fan of Badgley Mischka's pretty evening dresses, but can't quite swallow the not-so-pretty pricetags? Or maybe you don't attend enough night-time events to justify an evening dress purchase?

Never fear, Badgley Mischka Platinum Dresses are here. Well, almost: they hit stores in January, as Badgley Mischka's new daytime dress line. A much affordable dress line, I might add: the price range is set to run $325-$450.

For the first round of Platinum Dresses, expect to see a dove gray knee-length dress with a pleated neckline, a belted black dress with white piping, the yellow printed chiffon dress at left, and a long aubergine patio dress among the fare. Sounds like just what Dr. Fab ordered!
