You all know by now that I'm attending New York Fashion Week this time around!

It's next week so I'm getting down to the wire on shopping for things to take. I asked you all to help me sort things out! I started you off with this Derek Lam Consuelo Bag, $1950, which is functional, tough, but so so chic.

To see all the fashion week finds go here. Let's see what you all came up with!

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

Look of the Day

Look of the Day: High-Waisted Shorts Done Right

We've all learned it's difficult to pull off high-waisted anything.

We've all learned it's difficult to pull off high-waisted anything. But fifthofapril shows us high-waisted shorts done right. The key is to keep the rest of the ensemble minimal. And that's what she did with her white ruffled blouse, patent bag and shoes.

Here's what she's wearing:

  • Top: Inner Child
  • Shorts: Odyn
  • Shoes: Steve Madden "The Hot" Tortoise flats
  • Bag: Hayden Harnett Croc Trim Mercer Triple C Satchel
  • Bracelets: Grey & Black Vita
  • Congrats to fifthofapril!

Everyone else, submit your looks and I might feature you on FabSugar! If you live overseas and have a Fab outfit to share, join the Overseas Fashionistas Group, to submit a Look in this group learn how to post a blog.

Love It or Hate It

Timmy Woods Lips Purse: Love It or Hate It?

I'm all for smooches but carrying my lips on my bag is questionable.

I'm all for smooches but carrying my lips on my bag is questionable. This Timmy Woods Lips Purse, $250, is definitely eye-catching but not something I'd want to nurse in public. I feel it would draw too much negative, cheesy attention and belittle my outfit. Do you agree?

Fashion Flash

Fab Flash: Chloe Sevigny Actress and Designer?

Actress Chloe Sevigny is trying her hand at designing but it's not surprising given her fashion-forward nature.

Actress Chloe Sevigny is trying her hand at designing but it's not surprising given her fashion-forward nature. The actress is currently helping Opening Ceremony store founder, Humberto Leon, come out with its first namesake collection. The debut is set to take place at New York Fashion Week on September 10.

Although there's no word on what the collection consists of, if Chloe has anything to do with it, it'll most likely be unique and quirky. Cross your fingers that I get to see the final result in the Big Apple!

Trend Alert

Trend Alert: Full Skirts

You don't need to be full of yourself to pull off a full skirt.

You don't need to be full of yourself to pull off a full skirt. Au contraire my fine females. For those who have been hynotized by the voluminous trend, here's a fun way to practice. Allow me to offer you some tips to work the the full skirt:

  • Make sure you seek a full skirt that is the right waist for your shape. To show off a narrow middle, pick one that sits high on the hips, above the navel. To hide a tummy, have it rest below the navel.
  • Strike a balance; with volume on bottom, go slim on top. Tuck in your blouse or opt for a slim-cut shirt or jacket.
  • This look is super-feminine so try to toughen it up with a chunky cuff or a fly belt,
as not to be too goodie goodie.

San Francisco Fashion Week: Dcepcion

Watch out cool cats, there's a new designer duo in Fog City.

Watch out cool cats, there's a new designer duo in Fog City. Identical twins Daniel and David Concepcion were the sweethearts of San Francisco Fashion Week with their sharp edged but wearable cool-girl (and boy!) collection. Dcepcion premiered their first full collection this year and it was very well received...

And for obvious reason. With an aim to create flattering street-wear, the duo churned out tailored, slim silhouettes inspired by early 90s comic books. There is also a touch of detailing from the 30s and 40s, with graphic prints and muted colors, as well as stiff collars and cuffs. Plunging necklines were a go-go, voluminous shorts were flirty and men's looks were buttoned up without being stuffy. My favorite look? This razor sharp zippered jacket twined with a not-so-ordinary everyday striped dress; her fierce blunt bangs add severity. Graphic perfection.
