Ok, ok, it is Fall. It's getting light earlier and the mornings are crisp. I have surrendered. The upside of Summer being over is rediscovering your old cozy clothes and, of course, buying new ones — lots more on that to come. For now, it's a good time to look your closet head on and ask yourself: "Do I have some boots made for walking?" And talking, and so much more. Dancing? Flirting? Strutting? Boots can be very powerful indeed. We've already been seeing celebs bring them back, as pointed out in this week's Life & Style ,and it's time to decide if you're gonna need some new killer boots or dust off your old faves. A top with too little fabric is a bad idea for a number of reasons. A top with a too much fabric, like this BCBG Chiffon Tie Front Blouse, $106, isn't quite right either. I'm beginning to feel a bit like Goldilocks here, but you really do have to have it juuust right.

I mean, I'm all for layers of chiffon, but when they're on a top like this, the nice feminine shape that should be accentuated is hidden underneath all the fabric. What about you: are you lovin' this top, or leavin' it?

Here's a sassy blast from the past. It's safe to say we're back in boot season and let's celebrate! I have had a boot obsession for a long time now, and I swear it's Nancy Sinatra's fault. This sultry yet cheeky song is a classic but have you ever seen the music video? It doesn't have any dope special effects — these were the prehistoric years of music video — but that's what makes it Fab. Yes, the dance moves are a big stiff, but you gotta love the simplicity of the dancers rainbow-colored oversize v-neck sweaters worn with black short shorts, hose, and, of course, boots! And get a load of Nancy in her black sequin LBD, a look that is currently in vogue. I know it's the best part of the song, but you have to watch the whole video until the breakdown. Trust me — it's worth the wait for go go dancing mania.
