Who Wore It Better? French Connection Green Tie Dress

French Connection dresses are really popular these days!

French Connection dresses are really popular these days! Lauren Conrad wore her green French Connection dress at LAX, while ex-professional wrestler Stacy Keibler wore hers at the French Connection celebrity styling event, as well as at a pre-Emmys party. I prefer the casualness of LC's ensemble. Stacy's looks too formulated with the peep toe pumps. Who do you think wore it better?

Fab Read: Alek, From Sudanese Refugee to International Supermodel

One look at supermodel Alek Wek's impressive modeling resume (Chanel?

One look at supermodel Alek Wek's impressive modeling resume (Chanel? Check. Moschino? Check. John Galliano? Check.) and you'd never believe she was once a victim of a ruthless civil war in Sudan that killed nearly 2 million people.

Alek: From Sudanese Refugee to International Supermodel, $17, first delves into the pre-modeling life of Alek, when she and her family fled the brutal war on foot to London. Later, Wek talks about her journey from young model in London to an international supermodel, and how her non-European looks made her all the more notable. Here is a real rags to riches story.

Primetime Emmy Awards: Battle of the Bling

As you all know, I have an affinity for jewels.

As you all know, I have an affinity for jewels. I always try to provide you with doses of Glitterati here and there. And if one thing stood out on the red carpet last night it was the use of jewels. From dresses dripping with jewels to jewel toned dresses, there were enough sparkles to blind the paparazzi. For us at home, the bling provided sheer, delightful eye candy. But I must ask, whose jewels stole the spotlight?

Lauren Conrad Collection Update! Yay or Nay?

LC's clothing collection that I mentioned before has finally dropped!

LC's clothing collection that I mentioned before has finally dropped! For Fall, eleven pieces are debuting for purchase online, including leggings, tops, headscarves, and dresses. Two of the dresses are even named for her best friends - the Audrina Dress and the Lo Dress - cute!

Eleven pieces doesn't give me much to go on as far as Lauren's designing abilities, but they are good basics, available in a variety of colors, and are priced from $25-$150. So hats off to LC for realizing a dream!

Primetime Emmy Awards: The Best of the Backs

In everyday life, people don't really get to show of their backs.

In everyday life, people don't really get to show of their backs. But come red carpet time, you know the pose, the one with the gaze across the shoulder and the come hither look. I wonder if these girls practiced in front of the mirror to provide optimal back exposure photo ops. I bet they did. And it shows! I indeed have back envy, but who had the best of the backs at the Emmys?

Fab Flash: Minimum Model Diversity at NY Fashion Week

In the recent past, much focus has been placed on model-related weight issues, but last week at New York Fashion Week, another issue came to light that needs to be addressed: the lack of diversity on the runway.

In the recent past, much focus has been placed on model-related weight issues, but last week at New York Fashion Week, another issue came to light that needs to be addressed: the lack of diversity on the runway.

The dominance of white models on the catwalk is nothing new, and yet it's an issue that has been pushed to the side. As fashion photographer and "America's Next Top Model" judge Nigel Barker told WWD, "Everyone is always talking about the weight issue, I think they should be talking about race."

Another fashion week spectator said, "I see an Asian girl here and there, but it seems like it has always been that way. It seems like they can't have more than one or two, and it's the same with African-American models."

When I was attending shows, I noticed the same thing, with the exception of a few designers, Tracy Reese being one of them. Have you noticed this as well? How do you feel about it?

Primetime Emmy Awards: Ana Ortiz

I spotted "Ugly Betty" star Ana Ortiz on the red carpet last night but pictures of her were no where to be found.

I spotted "Ugly Betty" star Ana Ortiz on the red carpet last night but pictures of her were no where to be found. I'm am so glad they were finally found because Ana looks smokin'. Sequins have been everywhere lately, but she makes them look new again. Her black strapless Escada gown is flattering and flows like liquid on her. I only wish she had worn a pair of dangly earrings. Still, she's got my vote. You?
