Battle of the Old School Supermodels!

The era of the supermodel may be over but that doesn't mean these old-time models don't get invites to every fabulous fashion event.

The era of the supermodel may be over but that doesn't mean these old-time models don't get invites to every fabulous fashion event. Kate Moss, Eva Herzigova, Elizabeth Hurley and Claudia Schiffer all made a grand entrance in shades of neutral at the Victoria & Albert Museum Golden Age of Couture 2007 in London. Coincidence much? Kate and Elizabeth opted for silky; Eva went for ruffled tiers; and Claudia chose sheer and sparkly Chanel. No doubt, all these old school supermodels look glamorous, but Claudia has won my heart with her mermaid-like gown. Can't you just see her popping out of a big clam shell? Who's your favorite?

Fab Finding Follow Up: Off to London...Fashion Week!

Last week, I asked you to imagine I'm flying overseas to catch runway shows by Giles, Luella Bartley, Aquascutum and the like at London Fashion Week. London is more avant-garde and funky than New York Fashion Week, so I asked you to think outside the box!

I started you off with these Anthropologie Prim & Proper Wedges, $178, because they're off the beaten path and look comfy. To see all the Fab finds, go London Fashion Week.

Let's see what you all came up with!

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab Finding missions.

Look #1, created by cnyc1a is LFW-ready! I love how she contrasted the rocker chick leather with the frilly chiffon, playing hard-edge against super femme.

Simply Fab

Simply Fab: Her Look Matchsticks

You never know when a little double-stick tape might come in handy.

You never know when a little double-stick tape might come in handy. I feel like every time I could use some, I don't have any! Enter Her Look Matchsticks, $10, a little matchbook of clear double-stick tape strips that is compact enough to fit in a clutch, with cute packing to boot.

Those drat rogue bra straps that want to peek out, slingback straps that slip down, and tops that won't stay in place like they're supposed to all cause me much more grief than necessary. I'd much rather worry about other things!

Fab Ad: Gisele for Ipanema

A good chunk of Gisele's fortune comes from the Brazilian shoe line she does on the side of all her modeling work: Ipanema.

A good chunk of Gisele's fortune comes from the Brazilian shoe line she does on the side of all her modeling work: Ipanema. Her newest addition to the Ipanema collection benefits the "Y Ikato Xingo" effort, which aims to preserve the sacred waters of the Xingu River. Here is the latest ad campaign, and since the shoes are so water-centric, it takes the theme and runs with it: Gisele is "wearing" a dress made of water. How cool is that?! Though the shoes themselves aren't very high fashion, they look functional and are for a good cause. Plus, Gisele looks beautiful, as always, and her long flowing mane goes well with the flow of the water. Do you agree?

Celebrity Style: Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl is looking relaxed while taking a smoking break (boo) during her lunch at the Ivy in Beverly Hills. With her favorite red Valentino bag (which is sold out everywhere) and oversized sunglasses, she looks casual but polished. She proves with her Tory Burch flats that leopard print can go with anything, even a striped Juicy Couture cardigan. I love her red nails but I'd wear darker jeans to make the look more sophisticated. Overall lesson learned here: don't be afraid to mix prints!

New York Fashion Week Trend Alert: Shorts

It's no surprise to me that shorts have become a favorite hot weather option, what with the fusion of menswear and tailoring into today's fashion.

It's no surprise to me that shorts have become a favorite hot weather option, what with the fusion of menswear and tailoring into today's fashion. We saw them this Summer, and I hope I shined some light on how cute and functional they can be. Get used to getting shorty because come Spring you will have a myriad of options...from bermudas, cuffed styles, denim, short shorts and color. You have roughly six months to think it over so don't think too hard!

Style For Style: A Cutting Edge Solution to Slippery Soles

Hot shoes like this Roberto Cavalli Oil Slick Bootie Pump, $905, are only hot if you can actually wear them.

Hot shoes like this Roberto Cavalli Oil Slick Bootie Pump, $905, are only hot if you can actually wear them. I'm sure most of you have had this problem: you excitedly put on your new favorite shoes, only to find that the soles are so slippery, you feel unstable everywhere you go. That is simply unacceptable, especially since you paid so much money for those gorgeous puppies. The whole world needs to see them, but what the world doesn't need to see is you falling flat on your face!

Love It or Hate It

London Fashion Week Spring 2008, Gareth Pugh: Love It or Hate It?

One crazy London Fashion Week catwalk show you can always count on comes straight from the hands and mind of Gareth Pugh.

One crazy London Fashion Week catwalk show you can always count on comes straight from the hands and mind of Gareth Pugh.

The enfant terrible did it again, sending this look out with built-up shoulders that would make any NFL linebacker jealous! Between the long black fringe paired with minidress, the white socks and platform clog shoes, I always love seeing what spectacle Gareth has in store for us next. But let's get real for a moment. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing this. Would you?
