Found! Katherine Heigl's Red Pea Coat

Yesterday I came across this Juicy Couture Double Breasted Coat, $398, and was mesmerized by it.

Yesterday I came across this Juicy Couture Double Breasted Coat, $398, and was mesmerized by it. Today, I saw that Katherine Heigl apparently was too: she was wearing it at Advocate Magazine's party last night! The peter pan collar and gold buttons are especially adorable. Although she has way too much red going on with her Valentino bag, red Louboutin soles and the coat, she still looks like one scorching lady in red.

Fab Flash: Barneys Opens in San Francisco

The long-awaited opening of Barneys in San Francisco has finally arrived!

The long-awaited opening of Barneys in San Francisco has finally arrived! The luxury flagship now occupies a six-floor building in the downtown Union Square district, stocking everything from designer collections on the third floor to women's contemporary wear (think Helmut Lang and Marc by Marc Jacobs) on the Co-op floor.

Residents of Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Arizona, sit tight, the love is coming your way: Barneys is planning on opening a Sin City flagship in several months, and one in Scottsdale in 2009.

I had the honor of attending the opening party last night, and though it wasn't at the store, in a tent-like spread at Union Square park, it was in the spirit of Barneys' "Taste, Luxury, Humor." With go go dancers in disco-ball inspired unitards, a traveling pack of flappers and a massive disco ball hanging over the dance floor it was super fun. Stay tuned for partysugar's inside look over at Yum. And here I am, with a flapper-inspired look myself, and a fashionable buddy on the dance floor. Yay for Barneys San Francisco!

Who Wore It Better? Catherine Malandrino Fuchsia Blouson Dress

Designer of the moment Catherine Malandrino shows no signs of stopping!

Designer of the moment Catherine Malandrino shows no signs of stopping! Beyonce wore her fuchsia blouson dress at a party in July. "The Hills" star Whitney Port attended the "Legally Blonde" Broadway pink carpet last night in the same dress. Although we can't see Beyonce's choice of footwear, we can see that the dress goes well with her honey skin. I prefer it on Whitney because those silver shoes are super sassy. Who do you think wore it better?

Celebrity Style: Kate Bosworth

I know we're on Kate Bosworth overload these days, but you have to give it up to the girl for consistently looking good.

I know we're on Kate Bosworth overload these days, but you have to give it up to the girl for consistently looking good. Here, at the Los Angeles screening of Across The Universe, the actress is displaying the androgynous chic trend with her Phillip Lim gemstone tee and wide-leg trousers. I appreciate that the metallic clutch gives the outfit a burst of shine.

Love It or Hate It

SATC Movie Sneak Peek! Carrie's Green Getup: Love It or Hate It?

Wahoo! I'll admit I'm a bit apprehensive about the "Sex and the City" movie.

Wahoo! I'll admit I'm a bit apprehensive about the "Sex and the City" movie. Don't get me wrong - I can recite scenes and list Carrie outfits with the best of them - I'm just very curious with how the movie is going to turn out. I think it will either be just fabulous or a forced stinker...and of course I'm rooting for the former!

What we have here is a sneak peek at a Carrie/Big moment from the movie. If we get more teasers like this, it will make for fantastic Fall fun. But down to business, Carrie's green getup! In classic Carrie fashion, the look is eclectic, ladylike, but with a good dose of edge. I adore the contrasting green floral prints, and that coat is to die for, though the studded belt and Dior Mad Max heels are a bit much, if you ask me. However, that cheeky Eiffel Tower purse is quintessential Carrie (and Patricia Field) so bring us some more!

You know my take on this, what's yours?!

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week, Spring 2008: Luella

When Luella Bartley came back to London earlier this week after showing the past few seasons in New York, she wasn't the only one to make a return.

When Luella Bartley came back to London earlier this week after showing the past few seasons in New York, she wasn't the only one to make a return. Batman also made an appearance. Trousers with Batman motifs, old school Batman and Robin masks, and mini capes all adorned models on the Luella runway.

The collection was inspired by Thora Birch's geeky shabby chic character in Ghost World - the second collection in a row where Luella has tossed around the geek chic theme. And as geeky as Luella tries to be, she always manages to churn out oodles of covetable feminine dresses - dresses that cool girls want to wear. Whenever I see her new collection, all I can think is: "I want to be a Luella girl." And as long as she incites that kind of reaction, she is good to go.

Do You Prefer Agyness Punky or Polished ?

Model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn is a chameleon in the truest sense of the word.

Model-of-the-moment Agyness Deyn is a chameleon in the truest sense of the word. Off the runway, she's known for her punky and eclectic style, which consists of high-top sneakers, stripes, skinny jeans, suspenders and lots of layers. And look, she's carrying the Mulberry Bag to Have! But on the red carpet, she tells a completely different story. On the right, at the V&A Golden Age of Couture Gala, she looks sleek and stunning in her long black gown. Although punky Agyness has stolen my heart, she cleans up quite well. Seeing Agyness looking so sophisticated begs the question: do you prefer her punky or polished?
