Fab Finding Follow Up: Chillin' at the Coffeehouse

You're taking some you-time at the local, arty coffeehouse, where you'll lounge, people-watch, sip a little espresso, and check out the scene. I asked you to think Audrey Hepburn's beatnik outfit in Funny Face, and show me how you'll make like the natives.

I started you off with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turn-Lock Continental Wallet ($168) because you'll need it to foot your coffee fix. Be sure to check out all the coffeehouse break Fab Finds.

Let's see what you all came up with!

Oh! Now, you can build outfits by creating a list of clothing items. We have everything you need to build outfits with, and you can use your Fab Find bookmarks, too. This is an even better way to put together an entire outfit when you are completing your Fab-Finding missions.

Look #1, created by WhiplashGirlchild, is definitely Audrey inspired with a modern twist. The turtleneck dress, tights, and beret all give off the beatnik vibe!

Spring Peek: Grab Bags

You all seemed a bit apprehensive about the shoes of Spring and I gotta tell ya: the bags also come from Funkytown.

You all seemed a bit apprehensive about the shoes of Spring and I gotta tell ya: the bags also come from Funkytown. Clutches continue to be the bag of choice, in both oversized and embellished versions. I have a blue crush on this patchwork Pucci (pictured). The rest run the gamut from leathery and lux to dainty and funky. Whatever your grab bag desires, carry them out this Spring.

Did You Prefer the Avant-Garde or the Everyday Looks Last Night on Project Runway?

Just when the designers on Project Runway thought their limits had been pushed, they were asked to go that extra inch.

Just when the designers on Project Runway thought their limits had been pushed, they were asked to go that extra inch. Last night, Tim Gunn challenged them to create two outfits in two days: one avant-garde and one every day. Paired off into teams and inspired by their model's crazy braided, mohawked, and crimped hairdos, the designers set off in all different directions. Team Jillian and Victorya went punk glam, Team Fierce (Chris and Christian) used 45 yards of fabric on one gown, Team Kit and Ricky were inspired by Little Bo Peep, and Team Rami and Sweet P were all about the (personal) drama. But when it comes down to it, which did you prefer — the avant-garde looks or the every day?

Fab Ad: Miu Miu Spring '08

I think I just found the inspiration for my bedroom .

I think I just found the inspiration for my bedroom . . . or shall I say, boudoir? As a long time fan of the purple and red color combo, the dark shadows and moody feel of the latest crop of Miu Miu ads definitely intrigues. I am also a long time fan of Kirsten and think she is the perfect fit for the brand. The only thing I'm not thrilled about here is the actual clothes. This was one of my least favorite collections of Spring — a hodgepodge of French maids, Pierrots, harlequin and Playboy bunnies — and I ultimately felt the clothes weren't very wearable. But, Kristen wears the Spring offerings very well and with a subtle suggestion of kink. Miu Miu, reconsidered.

Celebrity Style: Audrina Patridge

The Cloverfield premiere in LA looked more like a party for The Hills.

The Cloverfield premiere in LA looked more like a party for The Hills. Audrina Patridge was among the more conservatively dressed cast members present, and she looked simple and cute in her green Phillip Lim minidress. Check out the darling swirl appliqués around the neck. To dazzle up her look a bit, I gave her a leopard clutch and a funky bracelet.

Talk about having roommates in high places.

Talk about having roommates in high places. Henry Holland, designer of House of Holland, and model Agyness Deyn, once shared a living space. Like most house mates, the duo had their share of quarrels. "Aggy (Deyn) and I used to fight over each issue of Vogue [UK] when we lived together. We used to daydream about when she made it in to the magazine. And now she is!" It's no wonder the bleach-blonde model supports Henry and his funky designs. Fashion best friends forever!
