Ombre is beginning to rear its pretty head and while it feels very warm-weathery, I'm already seeking a new ombre addition. I'm still on the fence though — some of these items are dope, while some of them are dull. Here's the dilemma: It's a trendy motif, but only looks good on fine fabrics. Case in point: ombred fur at J. Mendel's Spring '08 show (pictured). Thus, one should seek out an ombre that looks expensive but doesn't break the bank. Ah, the trials and tribulations of fashion . . .

The red carpet is thriving thanks to Eva Mendes, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Halle Berry, who have all chosen designer Alice Temperley's eye-catching, feminine and intricate creations for recent events. It's the vibrant turquoise of Sarah's gown, the criss-cross bodice on Eva's frock, and the papillon accent on Halley's LBD that bestows Temperley as the designer of the moment.

J Brand, the wildly popular denim line, is the latest to jump on the green wandbagon. The company, headed by denim manufacturer Jeff Rudes and stylist Susie Crippen, is planning on releasing J Brand Green Label, an organic collection of stylish denim. As of Spring '08, you'll be able to get your tush in eco-chic J Brand jeans. In the meantime, Jeff and Susie provide some other ways to be friendly to the environment.
