Fab Finding Follow Up: Intern Interview

You're meeting with a magazine editor about taking a possible internship at her company (nice!).

You're meeting with a magazine editor about taking a possible internship at her company (nice!). Originally, you were supposed to grab some coffee with her, but now she switched things up on you and wants you to meet her at her office.

You've got to pull something together that looks professional and gives a perfect first impression — you want her to know you've got style!

I started you off with these Urban Outfitters Etched Glass Drops ($24) because they are cool and full of personality. Let's see what you all came up with!

Look # 1, created by flutterpie, is professional and simple, but it's far from boring! The yellow coat and print dress definitely have personality.

Miuccia Prada's Trembled Blossoms: Miuccia Prada is set to unveil a new project at the Prada Broadway Epicenter at a private screening on Feb. 5 during New York's Fashion Week. The original animated four-minute short, entitled Trembled Blossoms, is based on inked drawings (used as wallpaper designs), which depict a lush, slightly scandalous, landscape of flowers and nymphs that evokes Prada's Spring vision.

Would You Wear an All-Denim Outfit Like on Project Runway Last Night?

And then there were seven.

And then there were seven. Last night the Project Runway crew was brought to a warehouse and asked to make an iconic look out of as many denim jackets and jeans as they could grab. The tensions are definitely running higher as the group dwindles: Jillian was annoyed that Victorya was making a denim coat similar to hers, Chris started talking to his dress, and Victorya kept calling Sweet P "Kit." I think everyone was going a little crazy last night — at one point, Michael Kors uttered his adoration for Amy Winehouse — say what?! But let's talk dresses, jackets, and jeans. Everyone's looks were largely made out of denim — do you find this tacky or classy? Would you wear an all-denim look?

Fab Flash: Jimmy Choo Founder Tamara Mellon Sues Mom

Tamara Mellon, founder of the famed Jimmy Choo shoes, served her mother, former Chanel model Ann Yeardye, with a $10 million lawsuit yesterday.

Tamara Mellon, founder of the famed Jimmy Choo shoes, served her mother, former Chanel model Ann Yeardye, with a $10 million lawsuit yesterday.

The suit cites breach of contract: both Yeardye and Mellon formerly held a stake in Jimmy Choo, but when they sold the business in 2004, Yeardye allegedly received stock in error that should rightfully have gone to Mellon. Yeardye supposedly refuses to return the stock, and thus Mellon said yesterday: "It is with immense sadness that I take this action, but I see no other way to protect my daughter's interests, which are my paramount concern. The property in question was to help secure my daughter's future, and I am baffled by my mother's refusal to return assets which rightfully do not belong to her." What an unfortunate situation.

Celebrity Style: Blake Lively

I've been going through Gossip Girl withdrawals so I was happy to see Blake Lively, aka Serena van der Woodsen, at Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring Couture show.

I've been going through Gossip Girl withdrawals so I was happy to see Blake Lively, aka Serena van der Woodsen, at Jean Paul Gaultier's Spring Couture show. The actress is new to the runway scene, but she was looking all the pro in her Jean Paul Gaultier dress. I'm baffled by the strange leather piece around her neck so I gave her something more pretty and conventional. Doesn't she remind you of a young Cate Blanchett? If she keeps attending these couture collections, she'll be famous like Cate before she knows it!

Spring 2008 Couture: Valentino

After 45 years of dressing women impeccably, Valentino said his last goodbyes yesterday with one final couture collection.

After 45 years of dressing women impeccably, Valentino said his last goodbyes yesterday with one final couture collection.

The exit was consummately Valentino. Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, and newly-appointed Valentino designer Alessandra Facchinetti witnessed a parade of bright bubble coats, tiered gowns, floral prints and ladylike suiting. The finale was the ultimate symbol of Val's contribution to fashion: the red dress. A stream of models wearing that one red gown filed out at the end, sending the retiring designer off in style, as no other finale could. Farewell, Valentino!

Sundance Party Circuit "I've been to Sundance three times. The first time was when I was eleven, so obviously the experience has changed for me," said Mischa Barton, who hit the buffet as soon as she arrived for a party to celebrate her festival flick, Assassination Of A High School President, at Marquee. Besides her big premiere, what does this trip hold for Barton? "I get to go skiing on my birthday," the actress, dressed in a Jenni Kayne frock and a pair of not-so-snow-friendly Louboutins, said.
