What guts Carrie Underwood has to wear a dress that cool girl Mary-Kate Olsen both designed and wore. The Elizabeth and James sequin dress was originally worn by Mary-Kate back in September at New York Fashion Week. The country singer wore it recently also while in NYC. Who do you think wore it better?

He is quite the little ego maniac, but Project Runway's Christian may be onto something. In this week's episode, he used Reese's wrappers to make a texturized dress; one that made me think it was straight off the real-life runway. Lo and behold, I wasn't too far off. This Burberry Prorsum Rosette embroidered dress ($4,295) looks remarkably similar — and it was in fact, a part of the Burberry runway collection. I'm kind of loving that you can get a costly runway look with a few thousand candy wrappers. But also, is a textured look like this wearable?

As if we didn't have enough guilty pleasures!
Rumor has it Rachel Zoe is working on a TV show for Bravo. Slated to be a weekly one-hour show that will air either in June or in September during New York's Fashion Week, Zoe claims, "It's not about exposing my clients or being invasive into their personal lives — unless they want to participate." Hmmm, well I hope her clients like Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner, Demi Moore and Liv Tyler agree to participate because I would love to see what happens behind the seams. To be continued . . .
Paris, oh Paris — did you get dressed in the dark? You all know that I despise matchy matchiness and this is precisely why. I can't believe that she voluntarily wore this ensemble for a night out in LA. There are several issues at hand. First, fedoras are a thing of the past. Second, the head-to-toe brown makes her look like a long piece of...kebab.
Paris should have kept the sequin tank and leopard pumps, but done away with the rest. A pair of Kate Moss' favorite J Brand Lovestory jeans and a simple bronze clutch would have made for a far more stylish and flattering look.
How would YOU wear it?
Want a dress that's reasonably priced and will turn some heads? Check out this Arden B. Tunic Sweater (on sale for $49, originally $98). I was considering for my New Year's getup. The color is awesome and the slight cocoon bottom is modern. It's also quite seasonless if you get creative. Which I know you all are itching to get!
Yes, Lindsay Lohan has made far too many fashion mistakes lately, and life mistakes, but I must give credit where credit is due. While shopping in Rome, she looks fashion forward and sophisticated in her brown fur jacket and sleek black platform boots. If it were up to me, I'd ditch the shiny leggings, but I'll overlook it this time since the rest of her look is so slick. Who knows, maybe 2008 will bring out a more chic (and sober) LL!
