This Week's Fab Favorite: Anne Hathaway
Seeing Anne Hathaway at Elle Magazine's 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute in her standout platforms makes me wonder why more woman don't take the plunge on the red carpet. Yes, the look is head-to-toe Spring '09 Marc Jacobs, but given his successful collection, I would wear the entire eclectic look, too. And, I would wear it ASAP, as Anne did. The youthful yet sophisticated Lurex-striped blue dress has the ease of a shirt dress but sharp shoulders — completely modern. Color is woven throughout and catapulted via the sash belt. Anne's hair is slightly messed, delivering a nonchalant attitude. And back to the shoes, bold, witty, Fab.

Found! Jessica Alba's Trippy Scarf
Anything slightly ghoulish is appealing to me right now, hello, Halloween is right around the corner. When I spotted Alba's statement scarf I knew it was by goth accessory designer Thomas Wylde. The Thomas Wylde Spider Twill Scarf, Tar ($250) is a subtle way to pay homage to the Halloween gods. And, yes, it's an instant way to jazz up jeans and a white tank.

Fab Read: The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style, How to Wear Iconic Looks and Make Them Your Own
Lucky magazine is a brilliant source of style information, so naturally I trust its new book will be the same. The Lucky Guide to Mastering Any Style: How to Wear Iconic Looks and Make Them Your Own ($20), written by editor-in-chief Kim France and creative director Andrea Linett, helps women discover the best looks for them based on 10 iconic style prototypes.
What's more, the new release features the magazine's signature Lucky Breaks section. It offers exclusive deals and giveaways from well-known brands. Paige Premium Denim, for example, is giving away 10 shopping sprees for $1,000 each. Sign me up.
These Boots Are Made For Walking: Two Toned
Take a close look. Do you notice the subtle juxtaposition between the smooth leather and suede of these Oscar de la Renta Leather Boots ($1,195)? This expert two-toned technique adds an exciting and elusive touch to boots. I like how the suede inset breaks up the smooth leather in a harmonious, hip fashion. Be daring and opt for a pair with patent detailing or better yet, contrast your neutral tone with a pop of color.
Shop Girl: It Pays To Be Patient
Shop Girl: It Pays to Be Patient I love when stuff like this happens: Remember the short-sleeved cashmere J. Crew cardigan I was coveting back in July? I really wanted one, but in an effort to exercise some financial restraint, I didn't end up going for it.
CommentsA Fabby Halloween: Chic Spooky Jewels
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and let me say, if you're not celebrating the 31st, you're missing out. Not down for the ghoulish make-up and crazy costumes? Check out these sophisticated, handcrafted, Halloween offerings from Jessica Hicks.

There's no arguing the sleek mystic of these Blackened Snake Earrings ($390). If snakes aren't your thing, check out these amazing Gold Spiderweb Earrings ($200) or channel the Barbarella in you with these lovely Multi Star Silver Earrings ($250). Fab enough to wear year-round!
Celebrity Style: Kate Moss
Kate Moss knows to make it in the industry — you must stay on top of the game. She was spotted in London with an armful of fashion mags looking like a modern day Pocahontas. Genius for the supermodel to twin her knee-high Minnetonka moccasins with a pair of denim cutoffs. While she bares skin on her bottom half, a nubby sweater and signature fur jacket keeps her warm up top. Color me inspired.
