Let purple reign with strappy, suede styles in a deep purple like the Dasolina.
No fashionista should go through Fall/Winter without visiting boot camp. This season, plan to re-boot and revive. Suede styles with a slouchy look can work from the office to the bar with ease. Try the Galen on for size.
If you like shortcuts, go for a bootie. Booties are some of the most buzzed about footwear of the season. Check out the Nine West Iam in lace feminine details.
Rev up your engines and get onto the biker chic trend. Biker babes will not want to miss the Yung — an updated open gladiator taken to new height for Fall.

Celebrity Style: Heidi Klum
Hot mama Heidi Klum continually knows how to make it work. As of late, she's been into the peek-a-boo effect with a sheer blouse and sexy bra. At LA Fashion Week, she proved that sheer doesn't have to equal slutty. To contrast the overly feminine floral blouse, Heidi wore a black textural mini skirt. And way to spice things up with the gray suede pumps. An Elizabeth and James silver ring and a patent chain-handle bag round it all in Heidi's signature sexy and confident way.

Congratulations . . . Leanne Marshall! The Project Runway Season Five Winner
Some of you restrained yourselves when I shared the final Project Runway collections in September. Then, it was still six designers in the running, so I witnessed final collections by Joe, Jerell, Suede, Kenley, Korto, and Leanne. I still don't understand why this isn't planned better. I firmly believe only the final three should show at the tents. Plus, it's a waste of money. Anyway, another Project Runway has come and gone and now you can view them all! And, you can buy them all! While we await the decision on the future of next season, I want to share what I then observed about the winner's collection. I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I had a feeling Leanne would win. Last night, Kenley's collection wowed me over once again and for a second I thought she might win. Alas, a bad attitude and unoriginality spoiled Kenley's chance.
Here's what I thought about Leanne's collection right after I saw it — nothing has changed. It was fresh, innovative, and gorgeous.
Leanne
Funny how the six collections gradually got better. I think Leanne is going to win. Her collection was as stellar as any of the professional collections from the week. It was conceptual, beautiful, and theatrical. Leanne claimed she "lost a million hours of sleep" over it, and it showed. Sculptural skirts, dresses, and gowns floated down the runway to the beat of a neutral, cool palette. The craftsmanship was expert and you could just feel the adoration in the air. I would wear the ivory off-shoulder top and turquoise petal skirt and the ivory and beige corset mini dress in a heartbeat. And her modern wedding dress blew Suede's off the (project) runway.

Fab Flash: Madonna Causes Controversy With Heels
Fab Flash: Madonna Causes Controversy With Heels Madonna is never one to shy away from controversy, but her latest red carpet appearance has left many in shock. Earlier this week she appeared on the red carpet in New York wearing a pair of Chanel Miami Vice heels featuring small guns as heels.
Trend Alert: Silky Ivory Camisoles
I know it's hard, but try to pry your eyes away from Bar's piercing blue eyes and focus on her ivory camisole. This romantic cut combined with an ivory hue is soft, sexy, and makes for a great evening look. Take inspiration from the Hurley spokesmodel and pair this delicate top with an edgy bottom. I like how Bar contrasted her ivory silk charmeuse tank with a black high-waisted leather skirt. Both by Hurley, both hot.
Guess the Celeb by Her Fabulous Handbag!
This week's celebrity handbag quiz focuses on an array of luxurious offerings from some of our favorite designers. While their celebrity owners shimmered in their fabulous ensembles, these bags take the cake with sequined adornments and decadent textiles. Take my quiz and see if you can match the handbag to its beautiful celebrity owner.
Fab Finger Discount: Report Boston Booties
Folds and pleats aren't restricted to handbags, you know. They've made their way onto Fall's gorgeous footwear, like this Report Boston Bootie ($92, originally $115), which comes in black and brown. I'm envisioning wearing the brown ones with light gray skinny jeans scrunched up, an oversize gray sweater, and layered jewelry. That way, the booties can do all the wowing.
LA Fashion Week, Spring 2009: Crispin & Basilio
I want to be friends — no, best friends — with Crispin & Basilio designer Donny Barrios. I want his entire Spring '09 collection! It's effortless, feminine, and incorporates the sheer trend with utter perfection. The color palette is another reason this line has me sprung. It has just enough color (orange, teal) and just enough neutrals to balance it out. Flowy sheer blouses are girlie but they're tempered by voluminous shorts. Cropped jackets provide ease to dressy silk gowns. Long vests balance metallic mini skirts. Next Spring is going to be much happier thanks to this collection. Donny, if you're reading this, call me.
