Nico Reilly attends her friend Victory's fashion show looking as good as the models on the catwalk. She wears a cream sheath dress with a red belt and carries a gold-chained bag. The oversize ring is a nice finishing touch.

Victory Ford looks both casual and glamorous in this scene from the sixth episode of Lipstick Jungle. That's because she went elegant with the evening dress but toned it down with the grandpa cardigan. Cinch in the waist with a belt and add a pair of booties, and you'll be as fashionable as this fictional fashion designer.

Leave it to Beyonce to look as Fab at an airport as she does on the red carpet. I respect that. This is a woman who says her dressed-down look includes "a nice shirt, nice jeans, and stilettos." She certainly doesn't lie — what she wore from New York to Tokyo is an outfit most people would wear to a soiree. Everything about it is flawless. Where to start? That dramatically ruffled blouse is a good place. It's silky, luxurious, and so Beyonce. But oh, that Alexander McQueen tailcoat jacket, that's pure eye candy.
She's a smart cookie for balancing the intense top half with simple cropped black jeans and relatively understated studded pumps. Chic black aviators remind us she's a star. While she's waving to her fans, notice that her bodyguard is carrying her Roberto Cavalli apple bag. What a gent!

Halloween How-To: Simon Doonan Yesterday, I showed you how your man can dress like Jonathan Adler this Halloween. Adler's wardrobe is an endless bucket of fun, so he's an ideal costume inspiration for any design fiend. But Adler's hubby Simon Doonan, creative director of Barneys New York and recent Top Design guest judge, is the go-to guy when it comes to fashion expertise.
Thursday morning, I was enlightened. Since Yves Saint Laurent's death this past Summer, the fashion world has been paying tribute and speaking praise. Perhaps one of the best ways to do both is to showcase an extensive collection of the artist's work. And so, the de Young museum of San Francisco gave me a sneak peek of Yves Saint Laurent's highly anticipated exhibition, spanning 40 years and 130 ensembles. The exhibit is open to the public Saturday.
The most special guest was there: Pierre Bergé, Yves's partner and business associate since 1961. Pierre spoke to a small group of local press and was humble and heartfelt. His words about Yves tugged on my heartstrings and got me really excited to view the exhibition. "Today is the first collection after his death." He referred to Yves as "one of the greatest of our time." He pointed out that "in our world women are more and more important" and Yves recognized that. "The collection is just a part of Yves's work," reminding us of the 5,000 plus YSL pieces that are preserved and kept in Paris. Can you imagine? He also called San Francisco "a beautiful city" and was proud to have the foggy city house such a collection. Side note: Pierre was wearing an Obama pin.

Vanessa Hudgens looked sultry promoting High School Musical 3 in Mexico City. Her BCBG dress is relatively affordable for a red carpet look, so if you love it, buy it now with Vanessa's other key accessories. Also, shop a less expensive version of her silver shoes from Steve Madden in black.

While other actresses are still wearing black, the always-forward Kate Bosworth has already transitioned into one of Fall's hottest color palettes: nudes. It's always easier to reach for dark hues so I give her major credit for pulling off this Chloe ensemble at the US launch party for the BlackBerry Bold. It's an easy look to copy — feel free to re-create it when you're feeling experimental. It won't hurt to also mimic Kate's healthy glow.
