When I interviewed Nicky at her Fall runway show at LA Fashion Week, she talked about how much she loved jackets and outerwear. I hear that. Here she is at the grand opening of the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills showing us her style skills. Though she's a total California girl, she knows how to layer. It doesn't really matter what's under this ensemble, it's all about her sharp tweed coat, cozy scarf, sheer hose, and Louboutin boots. Nicky isn't winning your votes for Sidewalk Style Star of 2008, but she'll always be in the running because of creations like this.

Sorry if I stepped away for a while — I was hooked on In Style's new Designer Central feature. Like their Celebrity Makeup Match, it's hours of distraction. Not only is it a runway and designer resource, it has the goods on celebs wearing the designers. I just flipped through oodles of celebrity looks playing my own version of guess the designer. If you seek something more educational, you can zero in on a favorite designer and see their timeline (AKA. 10 Key Moments), runway shows, celebrity fans, and shop the designer.
Today I felt like I needed an Alberta Ferretti refresher and voila! Refreshed. The fun doesn't stop there. You can do your bridal designer research as well as ogle all the celebrity designers that have popped up over the years. Now you get lost at designer central.

Take this moment to appreciate Heidi's sexy prowess at the opening of Victoria's Secret flagship location. I admire how she's always taking risks with her fashion choices.
