You heard about my fashion week fumbles, but that's just a result of the stars not aligning quite right this time around. Though it's a fast and furious week, it's a fabulous week. I wouldn't have it be any different, really. Although having a town car take me from show to show would be a-mazing. One can dream right? Now that I've sifted through the runway looks, chosen my favorites, started a mental wish list, and gotten over my jet lag, I can share with you the Fab times at New York Fashion Week.

• Most Fab show? This one is always a toughie; either Rodarte or Oscar de la Renta. Rodarte felt like I'd stepped into an alternate fashion universe, and Oscar was just so beautiful and rich. Oh! The Project Runway finalist show was pretty exciting too.

If you want to feel as though you're walking up and down the streets of New York City, invest in New York Look Book: A Gallery of Street Fashion by Amy Larocca ($25). You'll see over 200 unique looks without actually having to travel, or walk. However, if you want to take advantage of the book's recommended boutiques, then you'll obviously have to go there . . . which won't be so bad considering it's the most fashionable apple in the country!

Runway shows and magazines are a great source for outfit inspiration, but every now and again, you find ideas from something unexpected. Recently I've been admiring The Great Gatsby style, so these Mod Girl Mini Mirrors ($7) immediately spoke to me. They are the perfect way to show the world my adoration for this trend.

Mama-to-be Jessica Alba kept it casual while baby shopping in LA. Although I'm not a fan of matching your handbag to shoes, the shades of purple are slightly different so it works. Her AKA New York cardigan, Tolani scarf, and purple Chucks create a cool, feminine look. Now only if she would smile a little . . .

If you're looking for an affordable collection with some serious fashion pedigree — bulls eye.

Designed with the help of Marie-Amelie Sauve, muse to Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere and fashion director of Vogue Paris, the newly in-stores Spring collection is full of nonchalantly chic tunic tops, shirtdresses, and baggy denim shorts.

Best of all, prices run $20-$70, with the exception of a cropped leather jacket ($358), so definitely check it out. After looking at this, I can't wait until Gap's other forthcoming European collaboration — shoes crafted by French designer Pierre Hardy — comes through the pipes.
