Fab Finding Follow Up: Ice Skate Date

You want to enjoy the cool weather before it passes, so you and your man are heading to the local outdoor ice skating rink this weekend to get in some quality fun time.

You want to enjoy the cool weather before it passes, so you and your man are heading to the local outdoor ice skating rink this weekend to get in some quality fun time. The goal is to look cute for your date, but also wear something that can survive a couple not-so-graceful falls (unless you're a pro, of course).

I started you off with these Carolina Amato Opera-Length Leather Gloves ($285) because you can scrunch them down and hence look super chic.

Let's see what you all came up with!

Look # 1, created by EllaB is super cute; It was inspired by Blair Waldorf's skating outfit in Gossip Girl!

Who Wore It Better? Chanel Willy Wonka Sunnies

From the streets of LA to Paris, Chanel's Willy Wonka-esque sunnies are going along for quite a fashionable ride.

From the streets of LA to Paris, Chanel's Willy Wonka-esque sunnies are going along for quite a fashionable ride. Nicole Richie wore them first throughout her pregnancy in LA, while Mary-Kate Olsen just sported them at Giambattista Valli's Fall '08 show at Paris Fashion Week. Both are linking arms with men, both are wearing black, but who wore the quirky Chanel sunnies better? Speaking of, what's your favorite sunglass style?

This season, Paris Fashion Week has contained a slightly controversial level of fur (for example, Jean Paul Gaultier). Obviously Stella McCartney was not one to conform sticking to her morals and creating her usual vegan line.

Modeling Takes Beauty . . . and Mad Skills

Who says models are all beauty and no brains?

Who says models are all beauty and no brains? Okay, I can't vouch for their brains, but I can prove that they have some mad skills. Wearing what looks like a suffocating bag around your face and having to walk down a long runway takes precision. Many models trip, even without such an obstacle, so I give the models who walked the Junya Watanabe Fall '08 show in Paris some respect. It looks like Paris and London, namely the shows of Watanabe, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, and Gareth Pugh, proved to be the most taxing for the models. Then again, signing on to work with such avant-garde designers, they probably expected a bit (okay, a lot) of craziness. Could you do it?

Who Would You Have Voted to Keep on Project Runway Last Night, Chris or Rami?

It's almost time for the Project Runway finale show at New York Fashion Week with guest judge Victoria Beckham!

It's almost time for the Project Runway finale show at New York Fashion Week with guest judge Victoria Beckham! But first, the remaining four designers had to be narrowed down to the top three . . . so last night it was all about Rami vs. Chris, with a sneak peek of Christian and Jillian's final looks. Rami finally showed that he could do something more than draping with a final collection full of tailored, armored looks inspired by Joan of Arc. Chris went with a dark, goth-influenced final collection featuring a safety pin skirt and, wait for it . . . a human hair-lined jacket (ew!). The judges made their decision between Rami and Chris, but who would you have voted to keep?

Fab Flash: Select Oscar Dresses Already Being Reproduced

We all love a Look for Less, but when the Oscar red carpet has finished, the knockoff manufacturers kick into high gear.

We all love a Look for Less, but when the Oscar red carpet has finished, the knockoff manufacturers kick into high gear. Which celebrities' dresses made the cut? Cachet, a New York-based eveningwear company, plans on replicating Heidi Klum's John Galliano, Anne Hathaway's Marchesa, Katherine Heigl's Escada, and Jessica Alba's eggplant-colored Marchesa, to be in stores next September.

Meanwhile, Faviana New York has its eyes set on reproducing Katherine Heigl's Escada for $328 (above), Miley Cyrus' $10,550 Valentino for $248, Amy Adam's Proenza Schouler for $258, and Jessica Alba's $6,000+ Marchesa for $300, to be available in the next 4-5 weeks. Would you ever buy one of these Oscar-inspired dresses?

Celebrity Style: Mischa Barton

If I had to guess, I'd say Mischa Barton's favorite decade is the '70s.

If I had to guess, I'd say Mischa Barton's favorite decade is the '70s. The actress, who was shopping for magazines, went back to her roots in a strapless floral dress, denim vest, and yellow sandals. I guess her recent fashion faux pas was a momentary lapse in fashion judgment. I'm glad the old Mischa is back . . . let's hope she stays this way!
