It's funny that I love the urban safari trend so much — not only am I terrified at the thought of being around wild animals, I'm the last person to rough it in the woods. Good news! In my smokin' safari world, you'll find no beasts or bugs (sorry Pet!); only the coolest khaki pieces, a pop of yellow, and funky jewels. Won't you join me? Jack and Lazaro, you're invited, too!
All The Hills girls were in attendance for Lauren Conrad's runway debut at LA Fashion Week — and I was there, too! I was sitting across the way from Audrina, Lo, and the gang, so I got a good look at how Fab Whitney's cut-out heels were — no surprise, since her wardrobe is your favorite from The Hills. Turns out they were Opening Ceremony Cut-Out Oxford Pumps ($335), a little pricey but a lot of chic.
The Look: Head-to-Toe Color
Stars are showing off Spring's brights in bold monochromatic ensembles. Victoria Beckham stood out in the front row at the Project Runway finale in a persimmon Donna Karan dress and matching Versace sandals.
Spring may have sprung, but that doesn't mean there isn't still a chilly breeze in store. That's where this lovely light knit cardi comes into play. Its loose swingy fit will envelope you, and its origami-flowered shoulders lend the springworthy femininity you need. If it feels too loosey goosey for you, belt it!

Rive Gauche
The left bank of the Seine River in Paris; one of the city's most romantic districts. More than simply a geographical region, the Left Bank has become a name for a particular fashion or look. In 1966 Yves Saint Laurent launched a ready-to-wear line by the name Rive Gauche. The collection was an attempt to democratize fashion, introducing elements of garments of the lower classes into high fashion, such as the leather jacket.

Leave it to Audrina Patridge to literally outshine her Hills costars on the red carpet. Well, Audrina Patridge with the help of Phillip Lim that is. The otherwise rather simple yellow and black look is revved up with a sexy zipper up the back. It reminds me of something Maggie Gyllenhaal would've worn in Secretary. Very good girl gone bad. Or bad girl gone badder.
New York Fashion Week has been held in Bryant Park for the last 17 years, but it looks like that run may be nearing the end of its course.
Although IMG Fashion, who owns Fashion Week, has a contractual agreement to house the tents in Bryant Park through February 2010, a new placement is needed after that date. The current idea being discussed is relocating to the 10th Avenue rail yards, which are currently up for bids on redevelopment. Word is that Mayor Bloomberg has told CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg that whoever wins the bid will have to ensure that the new complex can house Fashion Week.
Although this is just a possibility, it's hard to imagine Fashion Week anywhere but in Bryant Park.
Kate B. is having a fantastic year in the fashion realm. Already, she's nabbed her first Vogue cover and the Spring Calvin Klein Jeans campaign. Now, the first picture has popped up from her Coach ad campaign set to circulate only in China.

Let's look on the bright side . . . a plethora of colorful bags to illuminate our path towards Spring. There's nothing more special than pairing a dark ensemble with a bright bag. Or, why not complement a bold dress with a bright bag, like Heidi Klum did at the Oscars? There are no rules other than to have fun. Oh, but whatever you do, please don't mix too many colors. Bright overload = circus clown.
I love a good two-for-one deal as much as the next gal, but I think this particular one might trump most other options: the Cynthia Rowley Reversible Dress ($286).
