I recently visited Anthropologie and was sidetracked by a fabulous book: What Would Jackie Do? An Inspired Guide to Distinctive Living by Shelly Branch and Sue Callaway ($13). If you admire Jackie O as much as I do, you will fall in love with this book. It offers fun life and fashion tips based on what the authors have learned from Jackie's grandiose life. An example? Book your flight through an airport where the agents are apt to be less savvy about recognizing Prada. Smart!
Does Marc Jacobs have a new obsession? First Sri Lankan songstress M.I.A. DJed his runway after party last month, and now she appeared in the ad campaign for his Marc by Marc Jacobs diffusion line, so it sure seems like it.

Gwyneth Paltrow has bid adieu to her long, sleek blond mane, changing things up with wavy, shoulder-length hair. It's great to see a fresh new cut on her, but I'm not sure about the center part — guess we'll just have to see how she styles it. What do you think of Gwyneth's new haircut?
Just when I thought belts couldn't get any cooler, Gucci's Spring '08 collection gave us a whole slew of piped, patent belts. They're slick, sexy, and a great way to dramatize any look. But forking over $500 for a belt is out of the question.

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester is quite the fashion maven these days. Not only is she wearing Versace at the Versace Menswear launch at Barneys, she's hanging out with the Donatella. I'm not too keen on the matching white shoes and bag, but I do love cobalt on her. Either way, she looks poised and fabulous.
Donatella Versace may be all about celebrities to front her mens line (cough) Patrick Dempsey, but over at Versace womens, it's all about the models. Fab favorites Isabeli Fontana and Natalia Vodianova have been tapped to replace Gisele Bundchen for the Versace Fall ads.
The new duo is shooting with photographer Mario Testino today in Manhattan — perfect, since Donatella's in town for the launch of Versace's menswear. I can't say how glad I am to see models in campaigns again!
No Designs on Katie Holmes for Armani Katie Holmes is not trying to get all Project Runway on us. Despite a report that the now-fashion plate is going to be designing a children's collection for Giorgio Armani, her rep tells me it’s not true. According to a story making its way around the web, Mrs. Cruise’s label would be called Katie Holmes for Armani and start with a line for toddlers followed by one for older children.

Forget the beach, go spend a day at the peach! It's so lulling to be on the softer side of things, as evidenced by French actress Marion Cotillard. Even despite the bright red backdrop, her scaly peach Jean Paul Gaultier manages to paint a serene picture.
